The Kardashians are some of the most popular people on social media. They rose to fame through reality television, and these days, they have millions of followers on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

From revealing bikini selfies and shots of their extravagant parties to glam shots of their hair and makeup prep, the Kardashian-Jenner family share a lot with their fans.

However, some fans are distinctly unhappy with one particular characteristic featured in many of their full-body shots.

How did the Kardashian family become famous?

The Kardashian-Jenner family, which includes Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Rob Kardashian, and their large brood of significant others, children, and relatives, first started drawing attention in 2007, when Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on television.

The show is still going strong today and chronicles the day to day adventures of the family, including their relationships and business ventures.

It is those business ventures that have contributed to their staggering wealth. Over the years, many different members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have launched their own companies. The most successful of these is Kylie Cosmetics, the brainchild of Kylie Jenner. Originally conceived as a vehicle for Jenner’s super-popular “lip kits,” Kylie Cosmetics now features everything from brow products to highlighters.

In 2019, Jenner launched an offshoot of the company, Kylie Skin, featuring skincare products such as cleansers and moisturizers – and, of course, a lip mask. In spite of how popular the Kardashian-Jenner brands have become, one thing remains consistent – the entire family is still active on social media.

The Kardashians receive criticism on social media

Two of the family members with the highest follower count are Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. However, even Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian boast millions of followers.

While the Kardashians used to rely on sponsorships a great deal in the early years of their careers, these days, the sisters are a lot more selective about what brands they promote. Even Kim Kardashian recently posted an ad for a haircare line.

While it is not known how much each sister makes per sponsored post, Kris Jenner revealed in 2019 that it is “definitely six figures.”

The family has received backlash for their occasional willingness to post appetite-suppressing products such as “flat tummy teas,” with influencers like Jameela Jamil accusing them of promoting diet culture. However, they also receive a lot of criticism for their bikini shots and semi-nude pictures. Many of their fans claim that they are merely self-confident, although critics have accused the family of being too focused on image, or “too fake.”

What weird poses do the Kardashians do with their feet?

There have been a lot of weird quirks in different Kardashian-Jenner Instagram posts over the years. From PhotoShop controversies to rumors of missing pets, fans have always dived deep into dissecting their posts. However, it reached a new level recently, when a fan on Reddit pointed out that based on the poses the Kardashian-Jenners turn to, none of them were ever taught how to “properly” pose.

Specifically, the Reddit poster stated that “their feet are atrocious” and that in many photos, they “sickle their weak ankles, don’t engage the arch, curl their foot in the opposite direction of their leg (and break the “line”) or just let it hang there limply.”

Fans chimed in on the thread, pointing out examples of how badly the Kardashians arrange their feet in photos. While a few people defended them, saying that foot position is a “weird thing to scrutinize them for,” many people agreed that clearly, the Kardashians never worked with a proper position coach or publicist to teach them how to pose.

For a family that considers themselves to be self-made, this isn’t terribly surprising — but it might continue to annoy fans.
