‘The Pioneer Woman’ has two recipes for Broccoli Cheese Soup

Drummond loves Broccoli Cheese Soup so much, she actually has two recipes for it. Her Best Broccoli Cheese Soup recipe can be on the table in under an hour. And it features a handful of ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

All you’ll need is onion, butter, flour, whole milk, half-and-half, broccoli florets, nutmeg, grated cheddar and jack cheese, salt, black pepper, and chicken broth. For the second soup recipe, Drummond uses a slow cooker and changes up the ingredients.

Ree Drummond’s Slow Cooker Broccoli Cheese Soup recipe needs only five minutes of prep

For her slow cooker recipe, Drummond tweaks the ingredients and keeps the prep to a minimum. She uses a slow cooker when she wants “to sling a bunch of stuff” into it and “be done.”

For this recipe, the Pioneer Woman requires broccoli florets, onion, carrots, chicken broth, cream of celery soup, salt, seasoned salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, Velveeta, and grated sharp cheddar cheese.

‘The Pioneer Woman’ makes a five-star Broccoli Cheese Stromboli

Outside of the world of Broccoli Cheese Soup, Drummond has an easy, five-star recipe for Broccoli Cheese Stromboli. You can follow the recipe to the letter. But, the Food Network star says you shouldn’t be afraid to “switch up the fixings.”

“It’s one of our favorite quick meals. The pesto makes this recipe and really elevates the flavor. I added rotisserie chicken, and it is delicious,” one happy reviewer wrote.

Another added, “This was delicious! I used store-bought pizza dough (which can be purchased already rolled and ready to use) instead of bread dough. It was excellent and perfect for this recipe! Another great recipe from Ree! I highly recommend it and I plan to make other variations in the future.”

Kids love ‘The Pioneer Woman’s’ Broccoli Cheddar Orzotto

Get your kids to eat their vegetables with Drummond’s Broccoli Cheddar Orzotto. According to the reviews, they’ll gobble up this dish every time.

Ingredients you’ll need include salted butter, yellow onion, garlic, orzo, vegetable or chicken broth, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, black pepper, broccoli florets, pimientos, grated cheddar, velveeta, and parsley.

“Delicious! It was pretty thick so next time I will add 2 extra cups of chicken broth as others did and half the cayenne,” one reviewer explained. “My husband liked the kick, but I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy. I might also add grilled chicken breast. Serving size says 2-4, but I think 2 people would be hard pressed to consume all that. There are 2 of us and we got 3 very hearty meals out of it (6 servings).

Another satisfied reviewer added, “ALL THE STARS. I added bacon too, because why not?”

Ree Drummond’s Best Broccoli Rice Casserole will be the ‘hit of the table’

Another menu idea that highlights broccoli and cheese is Drummond’s Best Broccoli Rice Casserole. One reviewer says that the cheese sauce in this dish is so good, they want to “slather” it all over everything they eat. Another added, “Out of the ballpark on this one Ree!! Family (who hate broccoli) went nuts…”

A third reviewer wrote, “This was the hit of the table.  Unfortunately, as much as I love pimento and red peppers in everything, I forgot them.  Next time I will be sure to add.  Also I am from the Deep South so I like my veggies cooked longer than most so I steamed them for about 15 minutes before adding.  Absolute winner.”
