Ree Drummond makes an apple tart

Drummond makes homey meals that everyone will enjoy. The way The Pioneer Woman cooks is wholesome and enjoyable. Her show is all about bringing the family together to appreciate each other’s company while grubbing on delicious food.

When the holidays approach, many people are looking for ideas on what to make for family and friend events. Food Network shared an easy recipe for an apple tart that Drummond made on her cooking show. The total time to make is about 30 minutes while only 10 minutes preparing.

Making the apple tart is relatively easy from the recipe online, which indicates to first preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

“Place the puffed pastry rectangles onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add the sugar, salt, and lemon juice to the apples in a large bowl. Stir to combine. Allow to sit for a few minutes,” reads the second step.

Next up, fans need to place the apple slices on the pastry rectangles and have them overlap — leaving the juices behind. Once this is done, it needs to bake “until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.”

Why are the Food Network fans calling out Ree Drummond?

After the cable network’s official Instagram account posted the video of Drummond making the apple tart, some fans point out some unsanitary habits. The viewers had an issue with the way the star squeezed the lemons in her hands.

“When are people going to STOP squeezing LEMONS in their hands?? SO unsanitary!!! Use a lemon press?!?! Jeez,” the fan mentioned.

Another fan jumped in and pointed out that “as long as your hands are clean,” it should not be an issue.

“And if [you’re] eating it, wouldn’t that be just fine? Some people got nothing better to do,” another follower defended Drummond.

The original poster came back and added, “I was also thinking of the waste- half the juice is on your hand?? Just sayin’.”

In another comment found, another fan pointed out that Drummond was cooking with her rings on.

“Rings off when cooking!! That’s not clean!! Come on y’all supposed to be big time!! Y’all should know better!!! Ppl are watching!!” the fan pointed it.

A fan would reply to the latter comment saying, “My parents never remove their rings either. I think its okey to not do so for family.”
