The Real Reason Scott Disick Reportedly Feels ‘Protective’ Over Khloé Kardashian Following Tristan Thompson Reconciliation

Scott Disick will always have Khloé Kardashian’s back! After seemingly confirming that she and on-and-off-again boyfriend Tristan Thompson are back together, sources revealed that Disick feels protective” over his ex’s little sister amid her reconciliation.

Though he’s on board with the former lovers giving their relationship another try, Disick is still worried Kardashian could get hurt again if Thompson resorts back to his cheating ways.

Kardashian and Thompson, who share 2-year-old daughter True, called it quits in February 2019 after he was caught cheating on her with Kylie Jenner’s former BFF Jordyn Woods.

Though the Good American founder distanced herself romantically from the Cleveland Cavaliers player after that, she ultimately decided to take the high road and maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship with her ex for the sake of their daughter.

After spending several months quarantined together amid the coronavirus pandemic, rumors began to swirl about the pair getting back together. Though Kardashian and Thompson remained mum about their relationship status, Disick appeared to hint that they are an item again with just one Instagram comment.

On Aug. 28, Kardashian took to Instagram to share a sultry bikini-clad photo of herself. In the comments under the snapshot, Disick wrote, “@realtristan13 is a lucky man!” with many taking the remark as proof Kardashian and Thompson are dating again.

A few days after Disick’s Instagram comment sparked a frenzy on social media, sources over at Life & Style revealed how Kardashian and Thompson felt about the self-proclaimed Lord spilling the beans about their reconciliation.

“Khloé isn’t annoyed with Scott for outing their romance,” the source shared. “She and Tristan were actually amused by his comment. They’ve been back on for months and things are going great. They knew it’d be impossible to keep their relationship a secret in the long run. In a way, Scott’s timing was perfect.” 

But despite the pair rekindling their romance, there are still some people on the fence about their relationship, including Disick.

According to the outlet, the father of three feels “protective” over Kardashian following her reconciliation with Thompson. Though he is giving the athlete “the benefit of the doubt,” Disick is still worried about his ex’s little sister as he “would hate to see her get hurt again.”

However, Disick isn’t holding Thompson’s past against him and hopes that he can prove to everyone that he’s a changed man. “[Disick’s] going all out to make an effort with him,” the source added. “Scott’s made mistakes in the past and learned from them, and he believes Tristan can, too.”

Though everyone’s hoping that Kardashian doesn’t get her heart broken again, it’s clear she’ll have the support of Disick if that ends up happening.
