The Twilight Saga is a supernatural romance with elements of drama and action. In other words, there’s a little something for everyone within the five films. In the story, Bella Swan, an awkward teen girl, falls hard for a mysterious classmate named Edward Cullen. Things get very interesting very quickly when she discovers that he is a vampire.

Edward reveals the secrets of the supernatural world to Bella, who is intensely enthralled. And because The Twilight Saga is a teen drama, things get predictably complicated. But the stakes are relatively higher in Twilight than in a typical teen romp. Over the course of five films, Edward and Bella draw some pretty unfriendly reactions from some very dangerous enemies.

Meanwhile, at his permanent home in the Friend Zone, Jacob Black spends much of The Twilight Saga pining for Bella and resenting Edward. In the first movie, Jake appears to be a typical adolescent boy from a fictionalized version of the Quileute Native American Tribe.
