‘The Vampire Diaries’: The 5 Most Steamy Scenes Between Damon and Elena
If The CW is known for one thing, it’s teen dramas that have some of the most steamy scenes on television. And The Vampire Diaries never held back when it came to sensual moments, especially between Damon and Elena. Affectionately known as “Delena,” the two had a tumultuous romance over the show’s eight seasons, but their chemistry always shined through. With that in mind, here are Damon and Elena’s five sexiest moments on The Vampire Diaries.
5. Damon fills in for Stefan at the Miss Mystic Falls pageant
For most of The Vampire Diaries Season 1, it wasn’t easy to see Damon and Elena ever working out. She was dating his brother, Stefan, and they were madly in love. However, Damon was there for her when Stefan started to give in to his bloodlust and neglected his responsibilities with Elena.
Stefan was supposed to be her escort during the Miss Mystic Falls pageant in episode 19. However, he didn’t show up because he was off drinking the blood of another contestant. So, Damon stepped in and danced with his brother’s girlfriend.
During their romantic dance in The Vampire Diaries, it was hard to deny the chemistry between Damon and Elena, played by Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. Though the scene happened way before the two got together, it showed something more between them. And it was only a matter of time before they would give in to their mutual attraction.
4. Damon and Elena have break up sex
Damon and Elena did not have an easy road in The Vampire Diaries. Between love triangles and sire bonds, they could never catch a break. They agreed to break up in season 5 episode 16 because they recognized that their love was sometimes toxic. However, they couldn’t help themselves.
After breaking up, Damon and Elena crashed into one another and tore each other’s clothes off. They slept together and proved why fans just couldn’t get enough of them together.
3. Damon and Elena sleep together for the first time in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 4
After Elena turned into a vampire in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, almost everyone wanted to fix her, except for Damon. He was the only one who accepted her for who she had become, and by episode 7, the couple could no longer deny their feelings for one another.
An intimate dance turned into a kiss, which turned into a very steamy sex scene between two vampires. We will just say that many household items broke while they were ripping one another’s clothes off.
Although Stefan and Caroline had started to realize that Elena was sired to Damon during this episode, many fans still fanned themselves over their first sex scene together in The Vampire Diaries.
2. The iconic rain kiss from Delena
Who doesn’t love a good rain kiss? After Elena asked Alaric to compel her to forget her feelings for Damon in The Vampire Diaries Season 6, it seemed like all hope was lost for the couple. She believed that Damon was dead, and she couldn’t handle the grief. But when he escaped the prison world and returned home, Elena no longer remembered she loved him.
In episode 7, Damon remembered a kiss they shared in the rain. During the scene, Elena told him, “Promise me this is forever.” And, of course, he promised her that it was.
Unfortunately, Elena didn’t regain all of her memories by the end of this episode. But she did see glimpses of their kiss in the rain.
1. Damon and Elena share a bed in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 3
Even though Damon and Elena later shared a passionate kiss outside of their motel room during The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Episode 19, seeing the two fighting their attraction while sharing a bed is the most memorable part of this hour.
There was so much tension between Damon and Elena during this scene, and they barely said anything. They just couldn’t deny the pull they felt to one another, and Elena even had to leave the room because it was all too much for her.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly about this episode, co-creator Julie Plec said, “With Stefan’s encouragement, Elena is trying to understand and explore this relationship that she’s developed with Damon. There is some series-wide epicness that goes down in this episode, for sure.”
“Series wide-epicness” is the best way to describe this turning point in Damon and Elena’s relationship in The Vampire Diaries.
