The White Lotus Season 2 filming location is primarily the San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily, Italy. The town of Taormina is a hilltop on the east coast of Sicily. It sits near Mount Etna — an active volcano. According to the Taormina Four Seasons hotel website, the San Domenico Palace was formerly a 14th-century convent. It overlooks Mount Etna and the ancient Greek theatre.
The resort boasts a cliff-top infinity pool, spa, and award-winning dining. The cliffs drop to the sea below with sandy beaches. ‘The White Lotus’ Season 2 cast member Audrey Plaza teased the filming location
“It’s pretty wild,” Aubrey Plaza described The White Lotus Season 2 filming location to Cosmopolitan. “We’ve taken over this entire hotel. There’s an energy, for sure.”
Then she spoke about how vital the filming location is to The White Lotus.
“It’s cool how the location informs the show,” Plaza continued. “Sicily is such a culturally rich place. I mean, there’s a literal volcano that has erupted since we’ve been here. It’s a very charged environment. It’s going to feel like that.”
The season 2 cast shared numerous photos of Sicily on social media since filming began
The White Lotus Season 2 cast consists of all-new characters except for Jennifer Coolidge, who reprises her role as Tanya McQuoid. Although Coolidge did not share photos of the new filming location, her fellow cast members did. Haley Lu Richardson portrays Portia, a young woman traveling with her boss, Tanya McQuoid (Coolidge). Richardson shared numerous silly photos of their time in Sicily to her Instagram followers. The pictures show that the cast became very close during their time filming in Sicily.
One group of newcomers portrays a multigenerational party of three — grandfather, father, and son. Adam DiMarco plays the youngest of the threesome, Elbie Di Grasso, a recent college graduate. DiMarco shared numerous photos of his experience filming The White Lotus Season 2 in Sicily on his Instagram account. The pictures are breathtaking, from the beautiful hills to the rolling waves and crawling vines. The location is epic for the upcoming installment.
Meanwhile, Meghann Fay shared photos of herself standing in the infinity pool overlooking the sea on her Instagram. Fay portrays one-half of a married couple on vacation — Cameron (Theo James) and Daphne Babcock.
