NBA forward Tobias Harris plays for the Philadelphia 76ers. Before making his way to the city of brotherly love, the athlete was selected by the Charlotte Bobcats and then traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He also had stints with a handful of other teams including the Orlando Magic, the Detroit Pistons, and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Following the 2019-2020 season, the Sixers gave Harris a $180 million, five-year extension. He donated $1 million to nine Philadelphia charities after signing that contract. He also decided where to build his dream home and is making plans to walk down the aisle with his fiancée, Jasmine Winton. He’s more on his partner and the elaborate way he proposed to her.

How Harris and Winton met

Winton is much more private than a lot of wives and girlfriends of basketball stars. However, we do know that her birthday is on Sept. 26, she’s from Chicago, and has a Bachelor’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University.

Winton and Harris met on a blind date when he played for the Detroit Pistons from 2016 to 2018, and have been together ever since. The La Holla Light noted that when they were deciding on place to live in the offseason, Harris suggested Hawaii. Winton though wanted to stay on the mainland to be closer to their families, so she suggested San Diego.

“I’d never been to San Diego but I told her I’ll look at it,” Harris recalled. “I started doing a lot of research on San Diego online and came across La Jolla.”

The couple then visited the area and loved it.

“We fell in love with it, and we fell in love with the people,” Harris said. “There was a real sense of happiness and enjoyment of the sun, the beautiful weather, the location.”

Harris’ incredible proposal to Winton

In November 2020, the NBA forward proposed to his longtime girlfriend.

La Holla Light reported that after purchasing a vacant lot to build their 15,600-square-foot dream home he told Winton that they were going to the location for a photoshoot he booked with Architectural Digest. When they got there Harris surprised Winton with rose petals laid out all over the ground and plenty of candles which made a huge heart. He then got down on one knee.

“Life exists only at this very moment and in this moment it is infinite and eternal. For the present moment is infinitely small; before we can measure it, it has gone, and yet it persists forever,” Harris captioned several photos of the setup and Winton’s reaction, adding, “SHE SAID ‘YES, YES!’”

On Aug. 6, 2022, the pair said “I do” at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York.

As previously mentioned, Winton is a pretty private person. She doesn’t have an Instagram and her X account is not public. But she has shown up in a few of Harris’ social media posts. Winton made a brief appearance in a video days before her man proposed as they bought Halloween candy. In addition, Harris has given her some love and shoutouts on appropriate occasions.

For her birthday one year he posted a heartfelt message via his Instagram that read: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! My rock, my queen, my best friend I love you! I cherish every moment with you, God has blessed me abundantly by putting such an amazing person as yourself in my life. I hope you enjoy this special day love.”

And another year Harris shared a sweet message to Winton on her special day writing: “You are Inspiring. You are resilient. You are Royal. You are love. Another 365 have come and gone, and I love you more now than I did yesterday. And I’ll love more tomorrow than I do today! Happy Birthday, Queen!!!”
