Initially, not much was known about what happened, only that Lanez was arrested on a gun charge when Megan Thee Stallion was with him. It was initially reported that Megan Thee Stallion was injured due to a cut on her foot that she suffered during the incident.

Our law enforcement sources say cops got a description of the SUV and located it shortly afterward, and found the rappers inside along with another woman.” Soon after this, Megan Thee Stallion released a statement that said she “suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”

I go through so much s**t. on a daily basis anyways….[Tory’s] not in jail because I didn’t tell the [police] what happened, and I should have. I’m smart. I didn’t have to spare [Tory]. But I did. And I’m done. Fans are furious after Tory Lanez liked an Instagram post

Lanez has been notably quiet since the shooting and hasn’t had anything to say, even after Megan Thee Stallion came forward and said that Lanez was the one who shot her. However, he made an indirect statement on the shooting by liking an Instagram post, seemingly showing his feelings about the situation.
