How Many Kids Does Josh Duggar Have?
More Duggar babies are on the way. Oldest Duggar son Josh and his wife Anna just announced that they are expecting another child. Anna’s pregnancy announcement means that three second-generation Duggars are currently expecting. Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald’s third child is due in June, and Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell are expecting baby No. 2 in the fall.
Josh and Anna have five kids
Josh and Anna, who married in 2008, already have five kids: Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, and Mason. Their last child was born in September 2017. Baby No. 6 is due in the fall, the couple revealed in an announcement on Instagram.
“We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a new little one! As we watch our children grow and thrive — we look forward to baby six joining us this fall!” 30-year-old Anna Duggar wrote. The couple had their five kids spell out the announcement in a video Anna shared on social media.
“We are so happy for Josh & Anna, expecting their 6th child and our 16th grandchild! Each child is a blessing from God!” Josh’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote on their blog. “Anna & Josh are good parents and it is going to be neat to see what God does with each one of their children’s lives.”
Josh’s troubled past
Josh and Anna’s marriage was rocked by scandal in 2015 when it was revealed that he had molested five girls when he was a teenager. Four of the victims were his sisters. Soon after, he resigned from his job at the conservative Family Research Council and TLC canceled his family’s show 19 Kids and Counting.
A few months later, a hacker exposed the information of millions of people who had accounts on Ashley Madison, a website designed to facilitate extramarital affairs. Josh was one them. He later admitted to being unfaithful to Anna. Eventually, he entered a faith-based treatment facility for sex addiction.
While some followers of the Duggar family hoped Anna would leave Josh following the molestation and cheating revelations, she chose to stay in the marriage. The family left Washington, D.C. and moved to Josh’s home state of Arkansas. Josh now sells used cars.
Could more pregnancy announcements be coming soon?
Some Duggar watchers think that another pregnancy announcement could be coming in the near future. There are rumors that Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth are expecting baby No. 2. The couple has spoken about wanting to expand their family.
John-David Duggar and his wife Abbie got married in November. Given that Duggars often have kids shortly after heading to the altar, it wouldn’t be surprising if this couple has some baby news soon.
Finally, Josiah Duggar and his wife Lauren, who married last summer, recently revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage. Lauren shared the sad news on Instagram because “everyone is anticipating for us to announce that we were having a baby.”
Later, Lauren thanked fans for their support during a difficult time. “I just want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, support, and for all you Mama’s out there for sharing your angel baby stories,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s easy to share those happy times in our lives, but sharing something hard, like losing a baby can be like putting salt to a wound. I know by y’all sharing your stories it has not only helped me, but many other women who have gone through the same trials.”
