The world of Vanderpump Rules is still in flux. Not only is filming for the show on hiatus due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but two of the show’s main castmembers, Stassi Schroeder and Kristin Doute have been fired. Because Schroeder was such a big Bravo celebrity, people have been wondering if she will get a spinoff of her own.

What happened with Stassi Schroeder?

All of the drama started when former Vanderpump Rules castmember Faith Stowers went live on Instagram with Candace Rice of Floribama Shore. While speaking to Rice, she discussed a racially charged incident with her former castmates.

“There was this article on Daily Mail where there was an African American lady,” Stowers said. “They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people. And they called the cops and said it was me. This is like, a true story. I heard this from actually Stassi during an interview. It was just funny, because they thought it was me because it was a black woman with a weave. So they just assumed it would be me, and they called the cops on me.”

In today’s racial climate, more companies are taking action against racist behavior. Of course Schroeder apologized for her actions, but Bravo ultimately made the decision to let both her and Doute go over the incident.

“Racially insensitive comments from my past have resurfaced,” Schroeder wrote in her apology. “It is important that I continue to take accountability for what I have said and done, while pushing myself to do better. I have grown significantly from the person I was then, and I am still filled with remorse and regret for the hurt I caused. I am grateful for the people in my life that continue to check me and push me to evolve into a more educated person.”

Lisa Vanderpump wanted Stassi to stay on the show

Lisa Vanderpump is used to the cast on her show acting up. In fact, Doute was no longer working at SUR on the show because she had already been fired from the restaurant. Though Vanderpump has been known to fire her staff in the past, she loves a redemption arc and would rather Schroeder have been given the chance to make up for her mistakes than been fired.

“I think it’s sad, really, what happened, because I do think that people can learn from their mistakes, and I’m all about that,” Vanderpump told Entertainment Tonight. “I think you’ve seen that on the show. Of course, we do know that we’re in this momentum of really people kind of standing up for what’s right, and I’m all about that and embracing that — and I do believe in zero tolerance for that — but I also believe that you can come back from that and you’re young and you can learn from it.”

Is Stassi getting a spinoff?

Lately, rumors have been spreading that Schroeder may be coming back to tv and getting her own spinoff. Sadly for her fans, that just isn’t the case.

“I’ve been asked repeatedly and unfortunately it’s not true, false rumor, I work closely with @evolutionusa no authenticity to story regarding spinoff for Stassi Schroeder,” Vanderpump recently tweeted. “Good morning everybody.”

So, it looks like Schroeder’s fans will just have to follow her life on Instagram if they want to keep up with her.
