Lala Kent from Vanderpump Rules revealed in an interview over the summer that ex-fiancé Randall Emmett was ready to have another baby with her almost right away.

Kent left Emmett in October 2021 and ended their three-year engagement. The former couple had welcomed their daughter, Ocean in March, and Kent’s early days of motherhood were documented in the latest season of Vanderpump Rules. But she said Emmett hoped for more children, almost right away, which likely could have changed the trajectory of Kent’s life.

Lala Kent said Randall Emmett was ready for more kids with her right away

Kent said in July 2021 she thought she’d have to do some convincing for more kids. “I really thought that I was going to have to try hard for a second, like do a lot of begging,” she said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast.

“And a couple of days ago, he was like, ‘I think I’m ready for another, like, would you want to start trying?'” she continued. “I was like, ‘Are you saying that we can have a second?’ And he’s totally on board.”

She added, “He asked me this morning. He was like, so when, when would you want to start trying? I said, ‘When Ocean is like a year and a half, two years old, let’s get it popping.'”

She still wanted to wait before she had more children

At the time, Kent said she was still trying to recover from having her first child. “I was like, ‘I’m still trying to get my bounce back bod on!” she exclaimed. Host David Yontef said she looked great.

But she replied, “I do feel like I look great for just having a baby, but you know, the tightness is different. And I just feel like every woman, my body is no longer mine. You know, I’m constantly putting a baby on the boob. You just kind of feel like, you know, I could feel hotter right now.”

During the July interview, Kent also said she felt secure in her relationship and in Emmett. “And I feel like there’s many times as cheesy as it sounds, where I think like, what did I do in my life to deserve someone like him as my life partner,” she remarked.

Lala Kent is likely thankful she made a decision to put a pause on more kids

Months later, Kent left Emmett when she suspected he had cheated on her. She recently opened up on her podcast, Give Them Lala about the heartbreak and betrayal she feels as she and Emmett built a family.

“I have my moments,” she said in December about the breakup. “And I don’t know if anyone that listens to this podcast can relate. But I have felt like in the five years and eight months that I had been with ‘he who we shall not name.’ We have built a family. That’s what I thought. And every day I find out something new. That makes me feel, Lala, you were so disposable the whole time.”

“You meant nothing,” she said. “You were a possession, a shiny object, and nothing more. And I have to be OK with that. I have to realize that the person I have to deal with, I feel everybody serves as the same thing. I serve nothing more than just a possession. And that, to me, makes me sick daily.”
