Lala Kent celebrates being sober

Vanderpump Rules star Kent is celebrating three years of being sober amid her breakup with fiancé Randall Emmett. The Bravo personality took to Instagram to share a post and thank everyone that has supported her in her journey.

“Today marks 3 years of sobriety. I can’t believe it. I’m beyond grateful for this path that God & my late father placed in front of me,” Kent posted on the social platform. “I’m grateful for my sober coach & my sponsor who I consider angels. I’m grateful for the program & the men and women who have shared their stories so honestly, giving me hope and inspiration to continue to never pick up a drink again.”

Kent acknowledges that maintaining her sobriety is a process to be taken “one day at a time” and says that it’s worth it as she has “never felt so strong” in her sobriety.

“It’s the proudest thing I have ever done, aside from becoming a mother. My first priority is always my sobriety. It comes before everything- because, without it, I am of no use. I love you all so much. I hope you know that,” she added.

Bravo family and fans show Lala Kent their support

It wasn’t long before Kent’s Bravo family showed their support for the amazing milestone she had achieved.

Kent’s former Vanderpump Rules co-star Stassi Schroeder said, “The most proud of you. Love you.”

Another former co-worker, Kristen Doute, replied saying, “Love you, Angel face! SO PROUD!!”

Katie Maloney also replied to the post with clapping hands and heart emojis and Shahs of Sunset star Golnesa Gharachedaghi said, “You did that baby girl.”

A fan took the opportunity to share their sobriety success replying, “I’m 2 weeks sober today! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your journey!!”

“2 weeks is huge. I think you should change the bio description of yourself. You are better/more than wine and whiskey. All the best,” another fan replied.

“Stay strong, one day one moment at a time,” another follower noted.

“Yay! Way to go, I am two years in and it was the best decision ever,” another Instagram user mentioned.

Lala Kent on ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 9

Vanderpump Rules returned with season 9 after an extended hiatus and following multiple firings that included Schroeder and Doute. Kent says that the latter two are missed “tremendously” but says that the new season is still great.

“It’s absolutely fantastic and it’s deep. We’re back to the roots of the show and these relationships and friendships have so much history,” Kent told Hollywood Life. “We went two years pretty much without really deep-diving into our issues, so it’s kind of like emotional vomit on the show this year.”

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
