P-Valley quickly became a fan-favorite TV show after its 2020 debut. Created by Katori Hall, the series follows the inner workings of The Pynk, a strip club in the fictional Chucalissa, Mississippi. It has faced long delays due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but the show is finally about to return for P-Valley Season 2. Check out the new teaser and learn more about the upcoming season below.

A teaser for ‘P-Valley’ Season 2 has been released

The teaser is exactly a minute long and brings viewers back inside of The Pynk. The club is officially reopened after Autumn saved it at the auction and sees Mercedes back to work as a dancer alongside others. “Y’all thought The Pynk had done her last dance, but this a whole new thing, a whole new Pynk,” a voice says over the microphone.

When Autumn bought back the club, it effectively made her co-owner. This seems to have given her a major ego boost, but Uncle Clifford quickly checks that. “You might be the owner, but you ain’t the boss.”

The teaser also appears to hint at what happened to Montavius after the shooting in the Paradise Room. Although it was not shown, it seems that he was more than likely killed. His shooter remains unknown.

The big question of ‘P-Valley’ Season 2 is about Montavius

In “Murda Night,” the P-Valley Season 1 finale, Montavius was fighting with others when shots went off. Blood was then seen seeping out from under the door, seeming to belong to him. Later, Uncle Clifford appeared to confirm his death when he met up with Mercedes and told her that he had “handled it.”

“I think time will reveal what truly happened in the Paradise Room, but there are so many levels to what happened and what the cover-up is, and who has been a part of the cover-up,” Hall told Thrillist. “I’m just really excited to see how people react. Because that’s going to be the big question: Who shot Montavius? Is Montavius dead?”

Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out, but Brandee Evans (Mercedes) has promised it’ll be worth it.

“I can tell you that it’s going to be well worth the wait, and a lot of your questions will be answered,” she told BlackFilmandTV.com of season 2. “And so it’s a bigger rollercoaster ride to me. To me, it’s more emotional, it’s even more real, and I didn’t even think that was possible. But just very much more relatable and real. … It’s just going to be beautiful. Y’all, it is worth the wait, I’m telling you.”
