A shocking move in the ‘Welcome to Plathville’ season 3 finale

The season finale of Welcome to Plathville was full of big changes for the Plath family. Ethan Plath and his wife Olivia Plath finally decided to leave his hometown of Cairo, Georgia, for Tampa. And they weren’t alone. Ethan’s younger sister Moriah Plath and her boyfriend Max Kallschmidt also decided it was time for a fresh start in Florida.

Ethan, Olivia, and Moriah invited Micah to come with them, but he had concerns.

“They’re moving to a permanent couples retreat that might not end very well,” he said. “I’m going to stay out of all of that.”

Instead, Micah decided to head in a different direction from the rest of his siblings — California. The sudden move shocked his family. As Moriah, Ethan, Max, and Olivia packed up the moving truck, Ethan FaceTimed with his brother. Micah revealed that he was living in Hollywood and trying to find work as an actor.

After the Welcome to Plathville finale aired, Micah took to Instagram to update his followers on his life.

“As many of you know I’ve made a big move out to Los Angeles, what an adventure it’s been so far! From adjusting to gas prices to making friends out here, looking at life with a different perspective and realizing how small my home town was haha,” he wrote.

While Micah was enjoying his time in LA, he did say he missed brother, sister, and sister-in-law. “I want them to come out to LA soon,” he added.

Fans are still waiting to hear whether TLC is planning a Welcome to Plathville Season 4. But if the show does return, we may see a Plath family reunion in California or Florida.

“Awwww we miss you too! We can trade off — we’ll visit you, and you come visit us!” Olivia commented on Micah’s post.

However, some of Micah’s followers were worried that he might go astray in the big city.

“As someone from LA, I’m both excited and worried for you,” one person commented. “Please don’t let Hollywood eat your soul + individuality.”

“Please don’t fall for the hype of LA,” another wrote. “People lie and cheat to make themselves seem more important than they are.”

But others felt Micah would do just fine in California. “L.A. is an exciting place to live …  lots of opportunities,” one person wrote. “Just stay positive and be true to yourself.”
