Moriah Plath comes from a large family, but the star of TLC’s Welcome to Plathville says there’s no way she’s having as many kids as her parents, Barry and Kim Plath. In a recent interview, she made it clear why a big family wasn’t in her future, hinting that she felt her parents had more kids than they could handle.

Moriah is one of Kim and Barry’s nine living children. (A son named Joshua died in an accident in 2008.) Her family’s life is chronicled on Welcome to Plathville. Much of the show’s drama comes from the tension between Moriah’s older brother Ethan Plath and his wife Olivia Plath. Ethan and Olivia have rejected many of his parents’ conservative ideas and are currently estranged from Kim and Barry.

Moriah and her brother Micah Plath have also turned away from their strict upbringing — which included rules such as no TV and no sugar — but they still have a relationship with their parents.

“I’m pretty sure we don’t do anything that we used to do and we do everything that we weren’t able to do,” Moriah recently told Fox News when speaking about what life was like for her and her brother now that they no longer live with their parents.

Moriah, 18, is currently in a relationship with Max Kallschmidt. While the relationship seems serious (some fans even suspect the two are engaged), kids aren’t in the picture right now. (In a teaser for the current season, Olivia asks Moriah if she’s found the right birth control.) But if and when she does become a mother, Moriah is sure of one thing: She doesn’t want as many children as her parents.

“Hell no!” she said of whether she planned to have a lot of kids. “I’m not going to have anywhere near 9 kids. When you have so many to take care of you can’t nurture them how they should be nurtured. You can’t give them what they need financially, emotionally. I just don’t want that.”

Her brother Micah agreed that a large family wasn’t in his future.

“I know for a fact I’m not going to have 9 kids,” he said.

Do any of the Plath kids have children of their own?

So far, none of the kids who appear on the Plath family’s reality TV show have children, and it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing babies anytime soon.. Last year, Olivia told People that she and Ethan “need to heal and process our own childhoods before we bring another child into the world.”

“We’re not ready for kids,” she said.

However, there is one Plath kid who might have a child. Some fans suspect that daughter Hosanna Plath, who does not appear on Welcome to Plathville, may have recently had a baby (via Distractify).

Welcome to Plathville airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
