What Is the Age Difference Between MCU Star Chris Pratt and His Wife Katherine Schwarzenegger?

Though Chris Pratt has become an MCU star over the last few years — portraying the not-to-be-taken-too-seriously superhero Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise — he is also well known for portraying Andy Dwyer in the beloved sit-com Parks and Recreation

Prior to his current marriage to Katherine Schwarzenegger, he was married to Anna Faris from 2009 to 2018 — another actor known for her comic repertoire, as she makes up half of Mom’s winning formula. While the two seemed to be one of Hollywood’s strongest couples, things eventually took a turn, leading to divorce.

Today, Pratt is with the American author and child of the famous actor and politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger. And, Anna Farris recently confirmed her engagement to Michael Barrett — the American cinematographer best known for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Ted. However, while Anna Farris and new beau Barrett are only six years apart, Pratt and Schwarzenegger boast a larger age gap. So, just how much older is Chris Pratt than the new love of his life.

The beginning of Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s relationship

Chris Pratt was born on June 21, 1979, making him 40 years old. On the other hand, Schwarzenegger was born on December 13, 1989, making her 30 years old. And though ten years may seem like a steep age difference, in Hollywood it’s almost negligible. Let us not forget that Katharine McPhee is over 30 years younger than her husband, David Foster.

Maria Shriver, Schwarzenegger’s mother, introduced her daughter and Chris Pratt, and the couple spent their first Thanksgiving together in 2018, according to Town and Country. When it came to cozying up to the father of his future bride, guess where Pratt managed to seal the deal. At the gym. Schwarzenegger once joked that Pratt’s impressive “incline press” did it for him; he knew Pratt had what he needed to be his son-in-law in that pivotal workout moment, joked the famous bodybuilder.  So, when did Pratt and Schwarzenegger seal the deal?

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s wedding

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger tied the knot in Montecarlo, California in June of 2019, so the two will hit one year of marriage this summer. The ceremony was an intimate one, as all of Hollywood did not show up to wish the couple well; close family and friends were there for the ceremony. The one and only Rob Lowe was in attendance, as Town and Country notes.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger, according to insider sources, wanted a small and elegant affair; they didn’t want a “circus,” so they kept their focus on what a wedding really means and why the ceremony is significant — it represents their commitment to one another.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger may be new to marriage, but the two seem to be doing well so far, often taking to Instagram with cute pictures and making headlines for positive, romantic reasons!
