Taylor Swift made her Grammy performance debut in 2015

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards aired on Feb. 8, 2009. Swift released her album Fearless in November 2008, just a few weeks after the recording year for the 2009 Grammy Awards ended.

While Fearless was not eligible to be nominated, Swift still made her performance debut for the awards show at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

Together with Miley Cyrus, Swift performed “Fifteen,” one of the singles from her album Fearless. While “Fifteen” did not feature anyone on Fearless, Cyrus and Swift sang the song as a duet. Swift also played the guitar during the performance.

She performed a collaboration stage at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards

At the 2010 Grammy Awards, Swift was nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Best Female Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album.

She won a total of four Grammy Awards that night including Album of the Year for Fearless. At the awards show, Swift performed a collaboration stage of “Today Was a Fairytale,” “Rhiannon,” and “You Belong With Me” with Stevie Nicks and Butch Walker.

Taylor Swift had a solo performance in 2012

Following Fearless, Swift released her third studio album Speak Now in October 2010. The 54th Annual Grammy Awards were held on Feb. 12, 2012, and Swift was nominated for multiple awards.

Swift’s album Speak Now was nominated for Best Country Album. Her song “Mean” from Speak Now was nominated for and won Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

At the 2012 Grammy Awards, Swift performed “Mean” from Speak Now. It turns out that Swift’s Grammy performance from 2010 inspired “Mean” after a music critic wrote a poor review of the performance.

“The things that were said about me by this dude, just floored me and like leveled me. And I— I don’t have thick skin. I hate reading criticisms. Like you never— you never really like get past things hurting you,” Swift told CBS in 2012.

Taylor Swift performed two songs from ‘Red’ for the Grammy Awards

Swift released her fourth studio album Red in October 2012, and the 55th Annual Grammy Awards were held on Feb. 10, 2013. Swift opened the 2013 awards show with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” from Red.

At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 26, 2014, Swift was nominated for Album of the Year, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album.
