Hearties, it’s time to go back to Hope Valley. When Calls the Heart Season 7 premieres Feb. 23, and Hallmark is giving fans a glimpse at the premiere episode. In “A Moving Picture,” Elizabeth revisits her writing and gets some tough-to-swallow feedback from Lucas. Meanwhile, she’s also negotiating her relationship with Nathan.

In the upcoming episode of WCTH, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) decides to revisit her passion for writing. She shares her manuscript with Lucas (Chris McNally). However, she’s not prepared for his honest critique of her work, though it ultimately encourages her to search for new inspiration.

“The best writing comes right from the heart,” saloon owner Lucas says in a preview for the episode.

As Elizabeth is getting some blunt feedback from Lucas, she’s also navigating her relationship with mountie Nahan (Kevin McGarry), as they walk the line between friendship and romance. But what about her feelings for Lucas, with whom she also seems to share a romantic connection?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Krakow promised that new season of WCTH will be “picking up where we left off with that [season 6] cliffhanger and getting to see a bit more of where Elizabeth and Nathan and Lucas stand.” In the season 6 finale, Elizabeth chose to dance with Lucas as the Founder’s Day festival, leaving Nathan on the sidelines. But a meaningful glance between her and the mountie suggested her mind wasn’t completely made up.

But Krakow isn’t revealing who the widowed Elizabeth, who lost her husband Jack at the end of season 5, eventually picks. “They’re pretty great guys,” she said. “They’re both single, they’re both handsome, they’re generous, they’re sensitive, they’re good listeners, they’re good with her kid. I mean, I have to think that Jack would approve. He’d want her to be happy and we’re moving in that direction.”

“One of the suitors pushes her to be better, and one of the suitors needs her to help him be better,” McGarry told ET.

As Elizabeth is dealing with her romantic entanglements, Gowen (Martin Cummins) gets anxious when a journalist comes to town to profile him, and he’s worried about what Bill (Jack Wagner) and other Hope Valley residents might say about him.

Meanwhile, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) find their plans for a special anniversary getaway thwarted by a work conflict. Faith (Andrea Brooks) and Carson (Paul Greene) reach a turning point in their relationship when she receives a job offer that would require her to move away from Hope Valley. And Jesse (Aren Buchholz) and Clara (Eva Bourne) are busy preparing for their upcoming wedding.
