RuPaul premiered ‘All-Stars 5’ directly after ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 12

Fans may be stuck inside, but with two seasons of RuPaul’s reality competition series premiering back to back, there’s plenty of drama for them to binge-watch.

Season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race gave fans their next “Drag Superstar,” Jaida Essence Hall, and now, they’re close to finding out who will win All-Stars 5. This season included a handful of returning queens, each competing for their place in the “Drag Race Hall of Fame.”

The first episode debuted during the first week of June and over a month later, fans know who are the “Top 4” competitors with the most charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

Fans are down to the Top 4 of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 5’

There’s been a Snatch Game, a reading challenge, and even a twist. For this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars, the weekly winner had to lipsync against a “lipsync assassin” for the power to eliminate one of their fellow competitors.

After weeks of spirited competition, fans learned who the “Top 4” of All-Stars 5 are. It’s down to Blair St. Clair of season 10, Miz Cracker of season 10, Jujubee of season 2, and Shea Couleé of season 9.

This is All-Stars after all, though. Fans expect there to be some kind of twist looming in the distance. Unlike previous seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars, this season will, presumably, hold a Top 3.

When is the finale of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 5’?

For season 4 of this spinoff, two of the competitors who made it to the finals won — Trinity the Tuck and Monét X Change. (Nothing has been confirmed by RuPaul or World of Wonder. Not yet, anyway.) Next week, Blair St. Clair, Jujubee, Shea Couleé, and Miz Cracker, will show off their comedy skills one last time, with the winner lip-syncing against the final “assassin.”

Presumably, the last episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 5 will air on July 24. There’s no word regarding if there will be a “reunion,” like there was for All-Stars 2. The reunion for season 12 was a little wonky, due to social distancing and stay-at-home orders resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

New episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 5 premiere on a weekly basis on VH1. Already released episodes and seasons of this spinoff series are available on VH1.com, with a login from your cable provider.
