Are you ready for a visit from the Great Pumpkin? Halloween is on the horizon, which means it’s time to watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Here’s what you need to know about whether you can stream the beloved 1966 Peanuts special and if it will air on TV in 2020.

Will ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ be on TV this year?

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown typically airs once or twice a year on ABC in the weeks leading up to Halloween. So far, the network hasn’t announced a 2020 airdate for special, which features Linus Van Pelt’s dutiful wait for the Great Pumpkin and Snoopy imagining that he is a World War I flying ace. But given that the 30-minute animated special has aired every year since the mid-’60s, ABC will likely announce a broadcast date soon.

Is ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ on Netflix?

Unfortunately, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown isn’t streaming on Netflix. Nor is it available on Hulu or Amazon Prime. And you can’t rent or buy a streaming version of special on Amazon or iTunes (though a DVD is available for purchase from Amazon).

However, if you have YouTube TV or Hulu+ Live TV, you should be able to stream the spooky season favorite once it airs on TV.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown isn’t currently available to stream, but you can find plenty of other family-friendly Halloween classics on Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services.

Netflix has two creepy-funny classics starring Anjelica Huston. The iconic actor plays Morticia Addams in the 1991 movie The Addams Family. In the 1990 film The Witches, she’s the Grand High Witch. (A new version of The Witches starring Anne Hathaway lands its broom at HBO Max on Oct. 22.)  The streaming service also has five seasons of the kid’s horror series Goosebumps and the 2018 feature film Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween.

On Hulu, you’ll find the 2019 animated version of The Addams Family, as well as Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest and Double Double, Toil and Trouble, which stars the pint-sized Olsen twins.

Halloweentown is on Disney+, along with cult-favorites Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Mouse House’s streaming service also has the 1949 animated classic The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, which is partially based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Head to Amazon Prime to stream the animated short Room on the Broom and rent movies such as Casper, Hotel Transylvania, Beetlejuice, and the original Ghostbusters.
