Matthew was incredible during the whole process. He was literally by my side at every step. I had exercises I needed to do — some of them were seemingly simple, like shaking my head left and right — and Matthew helped me through all of it.

How many children the couple has together

Today, Matthew and Kelly have four daughters together.

They welcomed twin girls, Sawyer and Chandler, in 2017 followed by Hunter in 2018, and their newest addition, Tyler, was born in June 2020.

Her comments drew the ire of many not only because of what she said about the state but also because after expressing her deep concern for small businesses she was seen shopping at a Target store that same day.

Kelly ending up taking to Instagram later to apologize for what her remarks.

“Should never have used the word ‘dictatorship,'” she wrote in the post. “I got caught up in the heat of the moment, that is my fault. I don’t know the answer and I won’t pretend to. I care about the people who are losing their lives or battling this.. and also the medical staff who care for them. And it is hard knowing these local business owners and watching them struggle and having to lay off their employees, not knowing how they are gonna make it. so I’m sorry. I let my emotions get the best of me. I love Michigan and the people here.. don’t get that twisted in this. This place was my rock during my tough times. And I wish there was an answer that pleased everyone but we know that is definitely not the case.”

Kelly followed that up with another apology which she said came right “from the heart” before wishing everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
