Who is Elizabeth Olsen’s Husband Robbie Arnett and How Did They Meet?

Elizabeth Olsen quietly married her boyfriend, Robbie Arnett, during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While promoting her work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Scarlet Witch portrayer called Arnett her “husband,” setting the media ablaze with questions.

The actor’s dating life sometimes puts her in the spotlight. Elizabeth Olsen got engaged to her boyfriend, Robbie Arnett in 2019. As Olsen is incredibly private about her relationship, some fans want to know more about him and how they first met.

According to E!, the couple met while each was vacationing in Mexico. Both were in the country around the same time in February 2017, presumably in the town of San José del Cabo, which is considered one of the hotspots for celebrities who travel there.

A month later, they were photographed holding hands while walking down the street. Olsen and Arnett attended Paris Fashion Week together in July 2017, and attended an Emmys party that September as a couple.

Arnett is a musician with the band Milo Greene

Robbie Arnett (no known relation to actor Will Arnett) is best known as a musician. He is a vocalist for the band Milo Greene. According to All Music, things took off for the group in 2012 when they dropped their self-titled debut album. They’ve since released two other projects – Control and Adult Contemporary. They also provided music for films (Fun Size) and TV shows such as Arrow and Supernatural.

A quick visit to Robbie Arnett’s Instagram shows he has a love for movies, with a special affinity for classics. His account is filled with posters for films such as Delirious, It Takes Two, King of New York, and Vampire in Brooklyn. Of course, there’s also a poster for his girlfriend’s TV show, Sorry For Your Loss.

Arnett is also a sports fan. In 2012, he told Billboard that though his bandmates may not have “loyalty and pride,” he does. “The [Los Angeles] Clippers and the [LA] Dodgers,” Arnett explained when asked who he roots for.

Though she is deeply in love with Arnett, prior to this relationship, Olsen was engaged to The Sandman star Boyd Holbrook. They met on the set of their film Very Good Girls, dated for three years, and were engaged by 2014.

Following their split, she jokingly told Refinery29 that people always romantically linked her to one of her co-stars, including Tom Hiddleston and Chris Evans. “Well, apparently, I’m dating Chris Evans, and apparently, I’ve dated Jeremy Renner, so I guess that… I don’t react to it.”

During a visit to Sway in the Morning in 2017, Olsen plugged her Arnett’s band on the show. “My boyfriend’s in a band called Milo Greene,” Olsen said. “I really like ’em, and I like him.” She joked about how it’s important to like someone’s work before you fall for them.

Olsen revealed she married Arnett in a subtle way. In a 2020 profile with Grazia, the writer calls Arnett Olsen’s “husband.” However, it wasn’t until 2021 that the pair officially confirmed their status.
