WandaVision represents the most direct involvement yet by the film side of Marvel Studios in a television production. This is set to be the standard going forward, with Marvel originals on Disney+ sporting blockbuster budgets and recognizable stars from the movies.

One signature aspect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, of course, is the post-credits scene, an extra treat for viewers that either teases future stories or offers one last parting joke. While there haven’t been any of these scenes attached to WandaVision episodes so far, creator Jac Schaeffer has advised fans to stay tuned.

[Spoiler alert: almost certainly going to spoil WandaVision from here on out.]

When will ‘WandaVision’ feature a post-credits scene?

Schaeffer serves as the showrunner and head writer for WandaVision. She’s recently developed a strong working relationship with Marvel Studios, with screenplay credits on Captain Marvel and the upcoming Black Widow.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Schaeffer touched on the plan for a post-credits scene for WandaVision, and it sounds like fans just need to have a tiny bit more patience.

“We looked at the show in a lot of different ways and a lot of different structural ways, but yeah. That’s a tricky question and I’m having trouble dodging it,” Schaeffer said with a laugh. “I would say that in any Marvel property, you should watch the thing in its entirety, no matter what. That’s what I would say.”

Sounds like a typically vague answer you can expect from any Hollywood creative when pressed for story spoilers by the press. The implication in Schaeffer’s response, however, seems to indicate that some sort of extra scene will be attached at the very end of WandaVision, after the finale which debuts on March 5. That certainly seems reasonable. Why overload every episode with a post-credits tease when the next one is only a week away?

We already have some notion of what WandaVision‘s post-credits might involve. Elizabeth Olsen has been confirmed to appear as Wanda Maximoff in next year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opposite Benedict Cumberbatch. Perhaps the rumors that the series will introduce the Marvel multiverse mean that the post-credits scene could see Wanda heading off into parallel realities to eventually meet the good Doctor in 2022.

Olsen also touched on the possibility of appearing in the upcoming Tom Holland Spider-Man sequel. Considering that Cumberbatch also has a role in the webhead’s next adventure, and considering that said adventure is heavily rumored to explore multiple realities, the Scarlet Witch would be an obvious fit.

“I assume you might [see Wanda in Spider-Man 3] if everyone’s in it, but I haven’t showed [sic] up to that party yet,” Olsen told Capital FM, mostly dodging the question but also downplaying the possibility.
