When Is the ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 7 Finale? Will There Be Another Season?
The Slaton sisters have been on quite the journey.
Tammy Slaton, her sister Amy Slaton, and the rest of their family returned to TLC earlier this year for another season of 1000-lb Sisters. The new episodes featured plenty of dramatic moments, including Amy’s shocking arrest following a camel bite at a safari park, Tammy introducing her new girlfriend, Andrea, to her family, and Amy’s surprise engagement to her boyfriend Brian (and her family’s less-than-enthusiastic reaction to the wedding news).
The ‘1000-lb Sisters’ season finale airs June 10
Now, season 7 of 1000-lb Sisters is coming to a close. The season finale will air Tuesday, June 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
In the show’s June 3 episode, Tammy finally went under the knife for her long-awaited skin removal surgery. The lengthy procedure is no joke, and her entire family has accompanied her to Pittsburgh to be by her side as she takes this huge (and life-changing step). Tensions were high in the waiting room, with Amy and her other sister Amanda getting into an argument after Amy rudely passed gas in front of everyone. The confrontation led to Amy tearfully complaining about her family ganging up on her and their refusal to attend her upcoming wedding.
What’s next in the 2025 season finale of 1000-lb Sisters? Here’s TLC’s synopsis of the episode:
“A missing tool in the operating room causes delays to Tammy’s extreme skin removal. Amy decides she’s had enough and makes a bold move. Tammy and Amy exchange words that may cause irrevocable changes to their relationship.”
In a teaser for the finale, a tearful Amy declares that she’s reached a breaking point with her family.
“I’m the black sheep of my family,” she tells Brian. “I’m not even the black sheep — I’m the black flea of my family.”
Will ‘1000-lb Sisters’ return for another season?
TLC hasn’t shared any details about when – or if – 1000-lb Sisters will be back with more episodes. But the logline for the finale hints that the episode might end on a cliffhanger, with Amy and Tammy’s previously close relationship on life support. That ongoing drama, as well as Tammy’s life after skin removal surgery and her relationship with Andrea, would likely be storylines next season if the show is renewed.
