Prince Harry turned to the media to slam his family when his latest court battle didn’t go his way, and now some of his old friends are giving their verdict on what came out of the duke’s mouth this time.

On May 2, right after a court in the U.K. dismissed Harry’s case to have his security reinstated, the prince thought it was a good idea to sit down with the BBC and blame his father, King Charles, for not doing enough to help with the case. He then said that he had “forgiven” his family members and wanted to “reconcile” with them since he didn’t know “how much longer” the monarch had left.

Some were stunned that the Duke of Sussex talked about forgiveness as if his public royal-bashing through televised interviews, a Netflix docuseries, and Spare over the last five years never happened.

Now, two of Prince Harry’s former pals are saying what they think needs to be said.

The Daily Mail reported that one of Harry’s old buddies, Ben Goldsmith, totally disagreed with the duke’s actions, saying: “Tragic but true — Prince Harry’s behavior is unforgivable.”

Another one of the former working royal’s old friends, who did not wish to be named, told the publication: “I don’t know what’s more disgusting — Harry’s comment about his father’s health or his suggestion that people want him dead. It’s very sad, but we all know that he doesn’t want to hear things he disagrees with.”

The BBC has since issued an apology for failing to “properly challenge” the claims made by the prince in the interview and admitted that it should have included responses from both the Home Office and Buckingham Palace.
