5 Moments That Prove Megan Fox and MGK’s Love Story Could Be a Movie
From their fateful meeting on the Puerto Rican set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have vaulted from co-stars to pop culture’s most talked-about couple. Their whirlwind romance reached a milestone in January 2022 with an engagement described by Fox as an encounter of “two halves of the same soul.” But the journey has not been without turbulence. By late 2024, they had reportedly split, only to welcome their first child together in March 2025. Now, we’re looking back at five moments in their love story that feel like a movie.
1. Machine Gun Kelly posted about wearing Megan Fox’s blood in a vial around his neck
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox aren’t nearly as open about their relationship as they once were. However, in 2021, fans couldn’t get enough of their posts about each other.
E! News reports that MGK shared a carousel of images on Instagram to celebrate Valentine’s Day with his twin flame. One of the photos showed a vial containing a drop of blood hanging from his neck. “I wear your blood around my neck,” he captioned the post, adding emojis to show a knife, a drop of blood, a DNA symbol, and a rose. “My bloody valentine.”
Fox also shared her own carousel on Instagram, accompanied by a poem she wrote as the caption.
“There goes my heart,” she wrote, “manifest outside of my body draped in the towering silhouette of a most unusually handsome boy, magical and haunted, kinetic and tortured, ethereal and dangerous, cosmic, lawless, eternal, creative, genius.” She ended the post by calling him “rehab Barbie.”
2. Megan Fox described Machine Gun Kelly as once disappearing ‘like a ninja in a smoke bomb’ when they first met
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly recalled crossing paths for the first time while speaking in a joint interview with GQ Style. According to MGK and Fox, they can’t remember each other clearly. And they believe it’s because they weren’t meant to connect yet.
“I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature,” Fox recalled. “I looked up and I was like, ‘You smell like weed.’ He looked down at me, and he was like, ‘I am weed.’ Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb.”
“I think we weren’t allowed to see each other yet,” Fox continued. “We weren’t supposed to run into each other that night, so our souls, our spirit guides, were luring us away from each other, because you literally had no face, like that thing from Spirited Away.“
3. Megan Fox said they had the type of sex to make ‘Lucifer clutch his rosary’
Megan Fox got personal on Instagram while describing her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly. And the moments she described could certainly be made into intense movie scenes. In 2021, Fox captioned a post containing photos from their British GQ Style photoshoot.
“The tale of two outcasts and star crossed lovers caught in the throes of a torrid, solar flare of a romance featuring: feverish obsession, guns, addiction, shamans, lots of blood, general mayhem, therapy, tantric night terrors, binding rituals, chakra sound baths, psychedelic hallucinations, organic smoothies, and the kind of sex that would make Lucifer clutch his rosary,” she wrote, according to E! News.
“A life without you is worse than death, put a bullet in my head if we have nothing left, and if that ever comes, meet me in heaven and let’s make love like demons,” MGK wrote.
4. The ‘Jennifer’s Body’ actress reportedly broke up with MGK after seeing his DMs
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly fans are still unclear about what exactly happened between them to cause their last breakup. However, sources indicated that Fox found texts and direct messages on MGK’s phone that resulted in the split. The couple was engaged at the time.
An insider told Page Six that the texts Fox saw made her “believe he has been having an affair.”
Fans also noticed that Fox removed photos of her and MGK from her Instagram at the time. “You can taste the dishonesty/it’s all over your breath,” she captioned an Instagram post before deleting her account completely and removing her engagement ring.
5. Machine Gun Kelly had photos of Megan Fox on his wall when he was 18
Like the beginning of any good love story in the movies, Machine Gun Kelly always admired Megan Fox. He said he had photos of her on his bedroom wall when he was 18. The images were from Fox’s Transformers days, and the bikini shoot showed her popping cherries into her mouth while wearing a bikini.
“It was from her GQ shoot,” he said in a GQ interview. “So that’s some full-circle s***.”
