50 Cent Addresses Ongoing Diddy Feud Ahead of Documentary
Sean “Diddy” Combs and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s long-running feud has become one of hip-hop’s most persistent and publicly dissected rivalries, stretching across years of interviews and social media jabs. Their tension has flared at different moments in their history. And 50 Cent has often been the louder voice, frequently calling out Combs over business disputes and questioning his credibility. Now, 50 Cent is the executive producer of a new documentary about his rival. Here’s what he recently said about his ongoing feud with the mogul ahead of the documentary’s release.
50 Cent just addressed his feud with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs ahead of ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’
The rivalry between 50 Cent and Sean “Diddy” Combs stretches back nearly two decades. In 2006, 50 Cent dropped the diss track “The Bomb,” in which he insinuated Combs knew about the 1997 murder of The Notorious B.I.G., according to People. Combs has repeatedly denied this accusation. Over the years, their conflict deepened through public jabs. They had disputes over business ventures, most notably when the two aligned with competing vodka brands (50 Cent with Effen Vodka, Combs with Ciroc). Their feud has sometimes been dormant, but surged dramatically in 2024 when federal authorities raided Combs’ homes as part of a sex-trafficking investigation.
On Dec. 1, 2025, 50 Cent sat down on Good Morning America to discuss his upcoming documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, set to release on Netflix on Dec. 2, 2025. 50 Cent answered a question regarding the criticism surrounding the film. Some fans might believe the documentary was driven more by the beef between the two rappers than anything else.
“What they consider a preexisting behavior, right, for 20 years, is me being uncomfortable with him suggesting that he takes me shopping. Or, I looked at it like it was like a tester. Like, maybe you’ll come play with me type of thing, right? And it’s not personal,” 50 cent explained.
Director Alexandria Stapleton also chimed in. “I think it’s important to also let people know that the show is not completely the perspectives of people who did not like Sean,” she explained. “We weren’t trying to just get the highlights, the salacious details. The real goal was to story tell.”
50 Cent previously said he’s reiterated the same perspective for 10 years
50 Cent defended his stance against Sean “Diddy” Combs in an interview with People in October 2024. He noted that he’s maintained the same perspective for the past decade, though his comments have gained attention in light of Combs’ arrest and trial.
“Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t,” 50 Cent told the publication. “It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years.”
“Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff, but away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style,'” he continued.
How ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ covers the allegations against the mogul
The four‑part docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning chronicles both the meteoric rise and dramatic downfall of Sean “Diddy” Combs, framing his story as a cautionary tale. The documentary promises to peel back the layers of the public persona to reveal the darker, less‑seen aspects of an empire built on music, influence, and controversy.
From Combs’ early dominance in the music industry to his transformation into a cultural mogul whose influence rivaled his notoriety, the documentary charts his ascent with context. And the series does not shy away from the allegations that led to his downfall.
What distinguishes The Reckoning from standard “rise‑and‑fall” narratives is that it promises exclusive, never‑before‑seen material. This includes footage, interviews, and testimonies from former associates, employees, and insiders. According to director Alexandria Stapleton, the doc isn’t merely about Combs, or even his victims. It’s designed to act as a mirror to broader societal tendencies of celebrity power and idolization.
