‘7 Little Johnstons’ Star Liz Johnston Reveals What It Would Take to Reconcile With Sister Anna
Liz Johnston is shedding light on her relationship with her older sister, Anna Johnston.
“Anna and I, we are not speaking,” the 7 Little Johnstons star recently told Access Hollywood.
Anna Johnston is feuding with her family
Anna has been on the outs with her family as the result of major conflicts with her parents, Amber and Trent Johnston. The tension led her to walk away from filming her family’s TLC reality show after season 16. With Anna no longer participating in 7 Little Johnstons, communication within the family has gotten even harder, Liz said.
“My mom put it, ‘We have the choice of being on the show, and [Anna] has that choice too. And she did not want to be,” she shared. “However, communication is ultimately – you know, we’re on our different paths. Hopefully one day our paths will come back together and things will be mended and fixed. But as of right now, we are just navigating – everybody in my family – are navigating their life in their own way.”
For Liz, that means preparing for the arrival of her second child with her husband, Brice Bolden. Meanwhile, her younger siblings, Emma and Alex, are heading into their senior year of college, and mom Amber is getting ready to receive her doctorate.
“We’ve had all these crazy milestones,” Liz said.
Liz Johnston says ‘7 Little Johnstons’ family drama has been ‘hard’
In terms of mending things within the Johnston family, the ball is in Anna’s court, Liz said.
“Until things kind of get fixed on both ends they’re just gonna remain where they’re at right now,” she said.
“There’s always both sides of the story … It’s been really hard … everything that’s been going on,” Liz continued. “Because people are seeing what’s going on on social media on her end. And then people are seeing what’s going on on social media on our end. And there’s the tabloids. It’s really just one of those things where we don’t know what’s going to take to fix it because of where things are at right now in Anna’s life. But hopefully one day there will be a time where she would like to come and sit down with us and figure this out. “
“I do definitely think it’s going to take her to come over … it does make it a little more difficult now that she’s no longer part of the season and no longer part of the show,” Liz said. “We’ll just have to wait and see. It takes time.”
7 Little Johnstons airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. Episodes also stream on HBO Max.
