’90 Day Fiancé’ Alum Nikki Exotica Recovering After ‘Serious’ Surgery Complications 

Nikki Exotica from 90 Day Fiancé is recovering after suffering complications during a medical procedure. 

Nikki Exotica is ‘very weak’ after scary surgery experience 

The TLC star, whose real name is Nicole Sanders, was hospitalized due to “excessive bleeding” after “very complicated” surgery, a friend shared on her Instagram Story (via People). 

“She’s in recovery now but very weak, she refused a blood transfusion prior to surgery,” a man who identified himself as Mike wrote. “They are monitoring her overnight at the hospital. I will be taking care of her, I’ll be giving more updates on her progress as time passes.”

“Nicole is not doing well,” Mike added in an update a few hours later. He also shared that Nikki had gone in for an outpatient procedure but that things took a turn when her blood pressure started dropping. 

By Friday, Nikki had recovered enough to share a video on Instagram. In the clip, which appeared to be filmed in her home, she said she was “still draining a lot of blood” and “can barely get out of bed.” 

“I’m just so tired,” she added in another video. “I’ve just been sleeping a lot. … There’s a lot I have to say but it’s going to take too much energy to say it,” adding that she’d share more details when she was “better.”

Neither Nikki nor her friend have shared details about the procedure that led to her hospitalization. But in August, she said on social media that she was “prepping for another surgery” related to problems with her breast implants. In 2019, she’d been hospitalized “for a serious breast infection” that was “eating through my breast tissue/and skin.” She had to undergo more surgeries after the implant was removed, adding that she was “lucky to be alive” given what she’d endured. 

Nikki appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Season 10 with her then-boyfriend Justin, who was from Moldova. The couple – who had a significant age gap – faced a number of issues, including Justin’s lack of trust because Nikki had concealed her transgender identity when they first started dating. 

Prior to appearing on 90 Day, Nikki filmed segments for E!’s plastic-surgery-gone-wrong series Botched. The episode would have highlighted Dr. Terry Dubrow’s efforts to fix her breast augmentation, but the show never aired her story, according to The Daily Mail.
