These ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Season 8 Stars Are Married But Have Never Met in Person
Love doesn’t always follow an obvious path. Take Jovon and Annalyn from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8. The pair have been together for six years and married for three years. But there’s a twist – they’ve yet to meet in person.
Jovon, a 38-year-old from Alabama, met Annalyn, a 38-year-old from the Philippines, online. Their romance culminated in a virtual pandemic wedding. Now, they’re finally getting ready to meet face-to-face for the first time ever. It’s an unconventional relationship, to say the least.
Jovon and Annalyn from ‘Before the 90 Days’ have an unconventional approach to marriage
“We hear you’re going to the Philippines,” a woman says in a teaser for the new season of Before the 90 Days, which premieres December 7 on TLC.
“I’m going to see my wife,” Jovon replies.
“When was the last time you saw her?” she asks.
“I’ve never even met my wife yet,” he confesses.
“Things have sure changed since we were married,” another woman says.
Can these new ‘90 Day’ cast members make their marriage work in real life?
Annalyn and Josh have spent years getting to know each other. But will their virtual connection survive in real life? He knows it’s time to put their marriage to the test.
“Annalyn and I have been married for three years. And it’s time to see how we function in a marriage in person,” Jovon tells a producer.
Blending their lives may be easier said than done, the couple discover. Both have strong personalities and different expectations around money, lifestyle, and gender roles. That could make their in-person journey as husband and wife far more complicated than they ever imagined.
Jovon and Annalyn aren’t alone in facing challenges taking a virtual romance to the next level. New Before the 90 Days cast member Forrest shares almost everything about his life with girlfriend Sheena, who watches his every move through a security camera. But she’s not the only woman in his life with trust issues. When Forrest travels to the Philippines to meet Sheena in person, his mom tags along to see what’s really up with her son’s mysterious partner.
Meanwhile, Lisa’s romance with Daniel, who is from Nigeria, seems to be going well. But things hit a snag when she finally confesses that she’s spent the two decades living as a lesbian.
“She tricked me,” Daniel says in the teaser.
Viewers will also meet Laura, 47, who has fallen for the much-younger Birkan, who is from Turkey. But there’s another man in her life – her best friend Michael, who might just be in love with her.
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8 premieres Sunday, December 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. Episodes also stream on HBO Max.
