’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Julia Trubkina Blasts Mom-Shamers for ‘Belittling’ Comments
Julie Trubkina is basking in the glow of new motherhood after welcoming her first child with husband Brandon Gibbs. But the 90 Day Fiancé star wishes she was getting a little more support from other moms.
“‘You’re not the first woman to give birth—I have three kids, so what?’—that’s the kind of message I receive,” she wrote in a March 22 post on Instagram. “I not be the first woman to do this, but that doesn’t change the fact that for me, this is a first; everything feels new and wondrous.”
In social media posts earlier in March, the couple opened up for the first time about their son’s birth in October 2025. Brandon described his wife’s “grueling” 24-hour labor, while she shared details about the difficult delivery, which ended in a C-section. The also said that they made a deliberate decision to keep their baby’s arrival quiet for several months and to not film the birth.
While Julia received many supportive comments on her candid post, some people were less than kind, she said. The cruel or dismissive comments from other women were particularly hurtful, she said.
“I believe that women who have already given birth should offer advice and support, rather than belittling new moms,” she wrote. “After spending so long keeping my pregnancy a secret—a time filled with constant anxiety—and following a difficult delivery and other complications, I am truly exhausted from worrying and playing the ‘what if’ game.”
“Now, I simply want to share, ask questions—whether they are the typical “first-timer” queries or just tell funny little situations—and connect with others,” Julia added.
The TLC star’s followers appreciated her vulnerability.
“Thank you Julia, this gives a lot of us who also struggle with anxiety of being pregnant and becoming moms some hope,” a grateful person replied. “It’s so important to remember we’re not alone.”
