Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle all attended, according to People. And Adele’s presence drew particular attention from fans and media alike.
Unfortunately, a photo of Adele seemingly covering her face has Kardashian-Jenner fans talking. The photo posted to Reddit shows the singer in a beautiful, black, long-sleeved lace gown holding her purse up to her cheek to avoid paparazzi from capturing her face. Fans took this to mean that she didn’t want the public to know she attended the bash.
“She seems embarrassed to be there lol,” one fan on Reddit commented.
“If you’re embarrassed to be seen there, then don’t go,” another fan wrote. “But if you’re going, at least own it.”
Other fans aren’t judging the situation and think it’s just fine for Adele to attend a Kardashian-Jenner event. Further, fans noted that Adele likely wasn’t ashamed to attend Kris’ party. Rather, she didn’t want the paparazzi snapping her photo.
“Hope she had a blast,” another fan wrote. “Stop bashing artists for how they choose to spend their Saturday night. Who cares, honestly? You buy her ticket and like her because of the way she sings.”
Kim Kardashian seemingly deleted photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at the party
Adele covering her face at Kris Jenner’s birthday bash is causing a stir. And so is Kim Kardashian for seemingly deleting photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. According to People, Kim and Kris shared photos of Meghan and Harry on Instagram. The images have now been deleted from both accounts.
A source spoke to People about Meghan and Harry’s arrival at the party.
“Meghan was glowing in a black wrap-style dress that showed off one leg,” the source explained. “She looked very glamorous and fit the theme perfectly. Harry looked sharp in a tuxedo with a poppy for Remembrance Day.” The insider noted that Meghan and Harry “arrived hand-in-hand and looked very happy.”
Fans on Reddit suspect Meghan and Harry asked the Kardashian-Jenners to delete the photos from social media.
“I am guessing Meghan and Harry asked those photos to be deleted because it’s not a good look,” one fan commented.
Adele reportedly watched ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’
Kardashian-Jenner fans may find it suspect that Adele covered her face while at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party. However, Adele once admitted that she watched the Kardashian family’s reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
E! News reported in 2016 that Adele told an audience that she watched reruns of the series while pregnant with her son, Angelo. Additionally, Kendall Jenner posted a video of Adele at the time, as she attended one of her shows. “I’m in awe (and tears) over Adele,” Kendall captioned the post. “I LOVE HER! Ok bye.”
With this in mind, it makes sense that the singer and the reality TV family forged a friendship.
