Romance is having a moment. From HBO Max’s breakout hit series Heated Rivalry to Netflix’s just-released adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling novel People We Meet on Vacation, stories of love are everywhere.

Want more swoon-worthy tales designed to sweep you off your feet? You’re in luck. Multiple romance novel adaptations are coming to both the big and small screen in 2026. Here are some romantic TV shows and movies to look forward to this year.

‘Finding Her Edge’

An ice dancer ends up in a love triangle with her current and former partner in Netflix’s new series based on Jennifer Iacopolli’s YA romance Finding Her Edge.

Adriana Russo (Madelyn Keys) is part of a figure skating dynasty who wants nothing more than to follow in the footsteps of her Olympic gold medalist parents. With the family’s rink in financial trouble, Adriana cooks up a fake-dating scheme with her new ice dance partner, Brayden (Cale Ambrozic), in the hopes of landing a sponsorship that will save her parents’ business. But things get complicated when her former partner, and first crush, Freddie (Olly Atkins) reenters the scene.

Finding Her Edge premieres January 22 on Netflix.

‘Bridgerton’ Season 4

Bridgerton returns to Netflix in January for its Cinderella-esque fourth season. Based on Julia Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman, the latest installment of the show focuses on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), who falls for a mysterious woman (Yerin Ha) he meets at a masquerade ball.

Bridgerton Season 4 premieres January 29.

‘Wuthering Heights’

Emerald Fennell has put her unique stamp on Emily Bronte’s classic gothic romance Wuthering Heights. The new movie stars Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose obsessive relationship leads to some serious suffering for those around them.

Wuthering Heights is in theaters February 14.

‘Outlander’ Season 8

Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) epic love story comes to its end in Outlander Season 8, which is based on Diana Gabaldon’s Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. When Claire and Jamie finally return to their home on Fraser’s Ridge, they find that the Revolutionary War has followed them there, creating new challenges to the life they’ve worked so hard to build.

The final 10 episodes begin airing on Starz on March 6.

‘Sense & Sensibility’

Is it possible to improve on Ang Lee’s near-perfect 1996 adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility? Georgia Oakley will try with this new version, which stars Normal People’s Daisy Edgar-Jones as the practical-minded Elinor Dashwood and Esmé Creed-Miles as her more romantic sister Marianne Dashwood.

Sense & Sensibility is in theaters September 11.
