Who is ‘Smallville’ actress and NXIVM follower Allison Mack’s husband, Frank Meeink?
Allison Mack, the former Smallville star, served time in federal prison for her role in the NXIVM cult, where she helped recruit women into the secretive and abusive DOS organization. In 2021, Mack was sentenced to three years behind bars after pleading guilty to racketeering and conspiracy charges, highlighting her central role in the group’s coercive operations. She began her sentence at a low-security facility in California and was released early in July 2023. In June 2025, Us Weekly reported that Mack remarried a man named Frank.
“It was a very intimate ceremony with 40 people in her parents’ garden in the backyard,” a source told the publication at the time. They added that the newlyweds met at a dog park and discovered they “had a lot in common.”
“They hit it off, and the rest is history,” the source continued. “They fell in love, and you know that can happen quickly. She’s just happy and feels very full of hope right now and going in a positive direction in her life.”
According to E! News, Mack’s husband, Frank Meeink, identifies as a former neo-Nazi who was once a part of a white supremacist gang. Meeink and Mack bonded over their time in prison.
“From the work that I’ve done with former jihadists, former gangbangers, former neo-Nazis, I mean, I’ve worked in that world for a long time,” Meeink said on the Allison After NXIVM podcast. “People don’t understand what it’s like when you get stuck in something like that. And it’s the one thing that validates you. It’s hard to get out.”
Frank Meeink wrote an autobiography about his past
While speaking on the Allison After NXIVM podcast, Frank Meeink and Allison Mack discussed their initial connection in the dog park. Meeink revealed to Mack that he grew up in “the hood” of South Philadelphia. Mack later learned that Meeink went to prison at just 17 years old for kidnapping a man and almost killing another. He wrote about his upbringing and experience in prison in his book, Autobiography of a Recovering Skinhead.
According to NPR, Meeink became one of the most well-known skinhead gang members in the country. He even had his own public access talk show called The Reich. Meeink became a spokesperson for neo-Nazi topics. He even appeared on Nightline.
After spending time in prison as a teenager, Meeink came into contact with people from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds. This caused him to consider his own racism and biases.
“I felt so evil,” Meeink said. “Throughout my life, even when I was tattooed up and wanting to be a skinhead, I felt like maybe I was bad on the outside. But I felt good on the inside. And that day it switched. I felt OK on the outside, but I felt so evil inside. I had no one to talk to. … So I went to the FBI and … I told them my story.”
Meeink started the youth hockey program Harmony Through Hockey
Frank Meeink started Harmony Through Hockey, a youth hockey violence prevention program he developed with help from the Philadelphia Flyers. The program teaches kids to work together as a team.
“In hockey, you can’t see the skin color behind the helmet,” Meeink said, according to KPBS. “All of them have to learn; it’s a team sport.”
While in prison, Meeink befriended Black and Latino men while playing football.
“They were funny. Dave Chappelle didn’t have nothing on them,” he said, according to WHYY-FM. “Don’t get me wrong, I still hung with my Aryans and did my Aryan thing, but they were terrible at football. So I asked the Blacks if I could play with them.”
