Amanda Seyfried was the picture of old-school glam at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards.

The actor, who was nominated in two categories, donned a long white strapless dress custom-made by Versace for the occasion. (According to Vogue, it took 400 hours to construct the gown.) She accessorized with a striking gold and diamond necklace by Tiffany and wore her hair in a vintage-style updo.

Makeup artist reveals the secret of Amanda Seyfried’s glam Golden Globes look

To top off her flawless look, Seyfried turned to celebrity makeup artist Melissa Hernandez. Hernandez used Vita Liberata Body Blur in Light and the Pyramid Body Brush to give The Housemaid star a natural, airbrushed finish that perfectly complemented her Versace gown.

“To finish Amanda’s look, I used Vita Liberata Body Blur in Light to even out and perfect the skin, Hernandez explained. “It’s one of my red carpet go-tos because it adds just the right amount of tint, even on fair skin and blurs everything without feeling heavy.”

The MUA “squeezed a small amount onto a palette, picked it up with the Pyramid Brush, and worked it into her décolletage in thin layers,” she explained.

“I love this brush because it hugs the curves of the body and lets me control coverage without streaks,” Hernandez added. “Once it sets, it’s transfer resistant, which is so important on a night like this. I don’t have to worry about gowns, jewelry, or last-minute touch-ups! It’s always my final step because it’s fast, foolproof, and quietly pulls the whole look together.”

‘The Housemaid’ star was nominated twice

Seyfried is the rare performer nominated in two different Golden Globe categories in the same year. (Sebastian Stan, Julianne Moore, and Jacob Elordi are also on the list.) She was in the running for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for the film The Testament of Ann Lee. She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Limited Series for the Peacock show Long Bright River.

Unfortunately, Seyfried went home empty handed Sunday night. Rose Byrne won best actress for her role in the movie If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. Meanwhile, Michelle Williams won in the limited series category for her performance in FX’s Dying for Sex.

Ahead of the ceremony, Seyfried joked about the odds of her going home with a trophy that night.

“All I can say, is it unprecedented to lose twice in one night?” she said in a red carpet interview with ET. “Because that’s what I’m looking for. I just want to get eyes on this movie.”
