Grab your pom-poms and your cowboy boots. Another season of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders has landed on Netflix.
Season 2 of the reality series premiered June 18. It follows returning vets and fresh-faced hopefuls as they go through the grueling Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders auditions and training camp in the hopes of achieving their dream of making the iconic squad.
For the 2024-25 season, just 23 of 36 veteran cheerleaders return for another shot at making the lineup. That means there are more spots than usual for rookies. But not everyone will make the cut. Which DCC vets are taking another shot at joining the squad? Returning cheerleaders include Armani Latimer, who is raising awareness about alopecia, and Chandi Dayle, a veteran who is hoping to make the squad for a sixth time. Both cheered for the Cowboys last season.

Which rookies make the squad in ‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ Season 2?

Some of the most memorable storylines in the first season of America’s Sweethearts involved the hard-working cheerleaders who tried but failed to make the team. Some are back this season for another shot. That includes Charly Barby, who was the last person cut from the 2023-24 squad. She didn’t let that disappointment shake her confidence, and she made the team last season.
“As I look up at my name & photo in the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders locker room I cannot help but be proud of where I am today,” she wrote on Instagram ahead of her first game as part of the squad. “What a journey. My heart is overfilled with love!!”
Kelly Villares is another comeback kid. She was cut from the squad just days ahead of the Cowboys first pre-season game in season 1 of America’s Sweethearts. She auditioned again and made the 2024-25 team.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to process the fact that my lifelong dream has come true,” she wrote on Instagram in July 2024. “I am a DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADER.”
Newcomers this season include Abby Summers, Ariel Brumfield, Ava Lahey, and Madie Krueger. All four women achieve their dream of becoming a Cowboys cheerleader.
Unfortunately, things don’t turn out so well for some other cast members. Clare Kuebler, Cooper Maas, Dayton Bramhall, and Jenna Waller did not make the cut.
Waller’s journey may be a prominent part of America’s Sweethearts Season 2. In an Instagram update, she said she was one of the last women eliminated during training camp.
“Being cut just hours before the final team was announced is only a minor setback in my journey and a testament to what the future may hold,” she wrote. “I will come back from this stronger, a ‘heck yes’ if you will … I’m walking out of this year’s training camp proud of my progress and fulfilled in every way. My gratitude for this organization and the women apart of it is unbound!!!!”
