Andy Cohen Denies Rumors Amanda Frances Quit ‘RHOBH’ Halfway Through Filming
Beverly Hills’ newest housewife isn’t going anywhere.
Amanda Frances joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 15 and quickly started stirring up drama thanks to her clashes with longtime cast member Dorit Kemsley. But even though things are tense between Amanda and other other RHOBH ladies, this Bravo newbie is standing her ground.
Amanda Frances denies reports she quit ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’
Recently, Amanda took to Instagram to deny reports that she quit filming midseason. “Lol this is not true,” she wrote on her Instagram Story (via Reality Tea) alongside a screenshot of a headline saying she’ left the show. Amanda added that she had “my final interview, WWHL, and the reunion all on my calendar.”
Now, Housewives producer Andy Cohen is confirming that Amanda did not make an abrupt mid-season departure from RHOBH.
“A lot of people have been asking me that Amanda Frances, that she quit halfway through filming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. No. She absolutely didn’t,” Cohen said during the February 9 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.
“And by the way, I think Amanda Frances is great for the show … She’s like a self-made person and I think the viewers are reacting to her, the women are reacting to her, she’s got a story to tell, and so give her a break, everybody. Give her a break,” he continued.
Andy Cohen stands up for Amanda Frances
The Watch What Happens Live host went on to defend Amanda from online bullies.
“Some [person] with a decent amount of followers tagged me in a really mean post about Amanda Frances and it was just, it was so mean and I was like, ‘You know what? This woman is gonna wake up in LA, she’s got two small kids. She will probably be woken up in LA. She’s been on this show for three months, something she shot a year ago, and she’s gonna read that and her day is going to be ruined,’” he shared.
“So I DM the guy and I said, ‘You know, I love your passion for the show,’ or something like that. I said, ‘But you know, these are human beings and this is really mean,’” he went on to say.
The internet troll responded in a “respectful” way, Cohen said. And after some back and forth, he deleted his post.
“I hope she never saw it, but it felt good and he was so nice,” Cohen said. “He was like, ‘Thanks for talking to me this morning, king.’”
