Andy Cohen Explains Why Rachel Zoe Is the ‘Perfect Fit’ for ‘RHOBH’ 

Beverly Hills’ newest housewife is the “perfect fit” for the show, Andy Cohen says. 

On June 6, Bravo announced that celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe would be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It marks her return to the network after a long absence. She previously starred in The Rachel Zoe Project from 2008 to 2013. 

Rachel Zoe already knows several ‘RHOBH’ cast members 

Plenty of Housewives fans are convinced that Zoe will be a breath of fresh air in one of the network’s longest-running shows. And no one may be more excited than producer Cohen, who is confident that she won’t have any trouble gelling with the existing cast. 

“It’s so wild. She really fits,” he said in the June 11 episode of his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live. 

One reason Cohen is excited about Zoe’s casting? She has genuine relationships with several current cast members. 

“She knows Kathy [Hilton] well,” he said. (One of Zoe’s early clients was Nicole Richie, who was friends with Kathy’s daughter Paris Hilton.) 

“She knows Kyle [Richards],” Cohen continued. “She knows [Bozoma Saint John]. She was just on Boz’s podcast. She knows Jennifer Tilly … I think that she must know Sutton [Stracke] from being around. It’s just a perfect fit.”

Rachel Zoe is ‘excited’ to become a Real Housewife

Zoe is coming into the Real Housewives after a major shakeup in her personal life. In September 2024, she and her husband, Rodger Berman, announced they were divorcing after 26 years of marriage. 

Cohen said he wanted to make sure Zoe knew what she was getting into by joining RHOBH. 

“She’s at a real transitional moment in her life,” Cohen said. “I was really rocked by the news that she and Rog were splitting up. I spoke to her a couple of months ago and … I just really wanted to make sure she had her head around it. Because, you know, it’s bananas, you know, whatever. And she did. She’s like, ‘I am excited. I want to be part of this ensemble. And I know them and it seems like such a perfect moment to come in.’ She’s like, ‘I’m dating. My life is different.’”

“So, I think we’re going to see the Rachel that we love, but at a really different place in her life,” Cohen said. “And I’m really excited.”
