Ariana Madix Shuts Down Rumors She’s Leaving ‘Love Island USA’
Don’t believe the rumors! Ariana Madix has every intention of returning to host more seasons of Love Island USA, she recently reassured fans.
The Vanderpump Rules alum stepped up to make a statement about her future on the Peacock reality series after a TikTok creator speculated that she was saying goodbye to the show after Sunday’s season 7 finale.
“This was definitely Love Island giving Ariana her farewell. She really is gone after tomorrow. Next season is going to feel so different,” the TikToker wrote over a video of this season’s cast praising Madix’s hosting abilities.
Commenters immediately started freaking out, with many swearing they would not watch the show if Madix departed. The Bravo star joined Love Island USA as host in season 6, replacing Sarah Hyland, who hosted seasons 4 and 5. Arielle Vandenberg hosted seasons 1-3.
After the video was posted, Madix popped up in the comments to set the record straight.
“Thank you,” she wrote. “I’m not leaving. I’ll see you guys really soon.”
Love Island USA fans expressed their relief that Madix intends to stay on as host.
“omg thank God my husband and I cried thinking this was farewell!!! I followed your journey since vanderpump rules and could never think of a better host than you,” one wrote. “you are amazing.”
Peacock has not announced whether Love Island USA will return for season 8. However, given season 7’s popularity, chances are the streamer will renew the series. In the meantime, Madix will be back to host the Love Island USA Season 7 reunion with Andy Cohen. It streams Monday, August 25, at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
