On January 13, Madix’s representatives filed a notice of settlement in Los Angeles Superior Court in her case against Sandoval, People reports. While the terms aren’t public, court documents indicate the dismissal of the Love Island USA host’s lawsuit is contingent on “satisfactory completion of specified terms.” The former couple is due in court in early February for a final status conference. The case will go to trial later that month if the terms of the agreement aren’t reached.

In early 2023, the Vanderpump Rules alums went through a very public and acrimonious breakup – dubbed “Scandoval” by fans. Madix, now 40, had discovered that her longtime partner Sandoval, now 43, had cheated on her with fellow cast member Rachel Leviss. The affair not only upended Madix’s life, but it also effectively ended Vanderpump Rules as fans knew it, permanently fracturing relationships among friends and castmates. (The Bravo show has since been rebooted with an all-new cast.)

Since their split, Madix and Sandoval have been fighting over what to do with their Valley Village home. The former couple purchased the five bedroom, six bath home together in 2019 for a little more than $2 million. She wanted to court to order a partition by sale, meaning that the property would be sold and the proceeds split between them. He objected to that plan.

In 2024, Madix said her ex wanted to buy out her share of the home. She felt it wasn’t fair that he would get to keep the house they once lived in together. Meanwhile, he admitted in an episode of Vanderpump Rules Season 11 that he wanted to stay because he “couldn’t afford to go live in another place.” But as Madix explained, buying her out would cost Sandoval more than he likely realized. That was in part because he’d have to refinance the mortgage at a much higher interest rate.

Ariana Madix purchased a new home in the Hollywood Hills

In the months after their split, Madix and Sandoval both lived in their shared home, though took care to avoid each other as much as possible. She eventually purchased a new home in the Hollywood Hills for $1.6 million.

“It’s been nice, it’s been good,” she told People of setting up her own place after end of her nearly 10-year relationship.

Sandoval was still living in the Valley Village home in early 2025. However, he has discussed plans to move in with his new girlfriend, model Victoria Lee Robinson.
