A$AP Rocky Calls Son RZA Anti-Social, Says Daughter Rocki ‘Took Over the Whole Household’

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have quietly built a growing family that now includes three children together, each with a name reflecting the pair’s shared “R” theme and personal influences. The couple welcomed their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers, in May 2022. They later had their second son, Riot Rose Mayers, in August 2023, whose arrival was famously revealed during Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance. A$AP Rocky has spoken openly about how fatherhood has reshaped his life and persona, moving him away from the tough, somewhat cold‑hearted image he once projected toward a more emotional and family‑focused role. Since welcoming three children with longtime partner Rihanna — sons RZA Athelston Mayers and Riot Rose Mayers, and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers — Rocky has described himself as “way more emotional.” And he’s admitted that parenthood has softened him and unlocked deeper feelings he didn’t expect.

Rocky has also embraced the new phase of life with humor and pride. While speaking to Popcast, he spoke about the differing personalities between his kids, including how his eldest son is quieter than his other two kids.

“You know, my first son, RZA, he’s opposite of his brother,” Rocky explained, adding that his two sons are only 14 months apart in age. “He’s really anti-social. And my second son is just a socialite at this point. He just wants to steal the room when he comes and he walks in, and he’s addicted to cotton candy. He likes typical little kid stuff. My first son never ate candy and hates it.”

Rocky then agreed that he was one “monk toddler” and one “rockstar” one.

A$AP Rocky is adjusting to becoming a girl dad after only having two little boys. While speaking on Popcast, he talked about how his life has changed since Rocki was born.

“Baby Rocki, man, she’s something,” the rapper said. “… She looks exactly identical to me. Twin, bro.”

Before Rocki was born, Rocky noted that it felt like he was running a boys’ club. “I’m with the little rascals, man. You know what I’m saying?” he noted. “And then baby Rocki came in and just kind of took over the whole household. She’s very talkative at 4 months, likes to giggle and smile.”

While speaking on the podcast, A$AP Rocky discussed the parenting dynamics between himself and Rihanna. He admitted that he and Rihanna are extremely “cool” with their kids, with neither of them playing a particular role.

“We are cool a** parents,” he admitted. “I mean, I think I’m relatively young to an extent, but, you know I still feel like a lot of my morale that I kind of had in my early days when I used to foreshadow, or just predict having kids, how I would be is kind of how I turned out. I used to be like, man, if I ever have kids, I’m gonna let them do this; I’m not gonna let them do that.”

Rocky went on to say that he wants his kids to “be themselves.”

“I want to be the guy that lets my daughter know that this is what men do,” he added. “I want to be the guy that tells my son, this is what women do; I want to be the guy to teach my son how to throw footballs and slapbox each other without hurting each other, you know what I mean? And really just be boys.”
