Kanye “Ye” West has officially been banned from the UK over his past antisemitic comments. While he planned to headline the Wireless Festival in London in July 2026, the festival faced cancellation in the wake of his ban. Despite this, West has a loyal fan base and a large following. And he sold a record number of tickets to his shows in Los Angeles in 2026. Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day recently attended one of West’s shows. Here’s how she responded to the backlash.

Kanye “Ye” West’s shows continue to spark controversy due to his past antisemitic comments. While he publicly apologized and hopes to move past his wrongdoings, they’ve come back to haunt him. He’s now banned from the UK, and the Wireless Festival that he was set to headline in July 2026 has been canceled.

Despite this, he still has support on his side. Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day, 41, told her followers that she went to see back-to-back West shows at SoFi Stadium.

“Alright, guys, night two,” O’Day told her X followers in a clip. “Listen, I always say when people come to DK concerts back to back, I’m always like, thank you so much, but why? And now I understand why. I’m officially going back to see the biggest bully around tonight at SoFi.”

Unfortunately, O’Day faced backlash over the clip. O’Day has been extremely vocal about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged crimes, speaking candidly about her own experience and the abuse she endured. Due to her past, fans are calling O’Day a hypocrite for supporting West.

“I can hold two truths at once,” she wrote on X following the backlash. “I’ve been vocal about abuse because I’ve lived it, and I don’t excuse it, ever. That hasn’t changed. But I also don’t believe engaging with someone’s art means I co-sign every opinion or action they’ve ever had. If that were the rule, most of this industry-and honestly most of the world-would be off limits.”

O’Day explained how she doesn’t support “harm, exploitation, or violence,” which she’s stayed consistent with. She also argued that calling her concert attendance hypocritical “ignores the nuance.”

“It’s not black and white — and pretending it is doesn’t actually protect anyone,” she continued. “If supporting art required endorsing every belief of the artist, none of us would have careers, or playlists. I’ve been clear about where I stand on abuse. That doesn’t change because I attended a show. Nuance isn’t hypocrisy, it’s reality.”

Aubrey O’Day rose to fame from Making the Band 3 in 2005. Sean “Diddy” Combs created the reality series and selected O’Day to become part of the girl group now known as Danity Kane. While Danity Kane achieved success, O’Day has since discussed her experience with Combs in light of his arrest and current prison sentence. She’s touched on extremely heavy topics, from the abuse she says she endured to industry criticisms.

When asked whether she forgives Combs, O’Day said it doesn’t matter.

“Do I forgive him? I don’t think that matters to the bigger picture,” she said, per CBS News. “I think that he needs to do the work to forgive himself.”

O’Day noted that she wants to help people and speak “for the underdogs” to ensure their voices are heard. “And I didn’t necessarily get to spend the majority of my life yet being able to live in my purpose.”

Ultimately, O’Day forgives herself. “The feelings that I’ve had throughout all of this really come down to, like, forgiving myself for misplacing abuse, or attention, or acknowledgment as love,” she said. “Those weren’t one in the same. And so I had to forgive myself first.”
