In 2025, Bella Hadid’s Instagram remains a carefully curated mix of high-fashion glamour and unfiltered glimpses into her personal life, captivating more than 61 million followers. She balances striking campaign imagery and behind-the-scenes runway shots with candid posts that highlight her love of art, wellness, and quiet moments with family and friends.

Bella also uses the platform to speak openly about health and mental well-being, especially when it comes to Lyme disease. In September 2025, she posted a series of photos with the caption, “I’m sorry I always go MIA I love you guys.” The first photo in the series showed a white house with a red roof surrounded by trees atop a hill. Other photos were selfies of Bella as she sat in a hospital setting with a myriad of IVs and other medical interventions. One notable picture was a selfie that showed Bella’s eyes looking red and puffy from crying while she covered her hair with a sheet.

Bella didn’t explain what the photos represented. But Yolanda and Gigi Hadid’s comments gave insight. Yolanda commented, “Lyma warrior,” with a red heart. Others commented that they believed this meant Bella was visiting a clinic in Germany for Lyme.

“I love you!” Gigi commented. “I hope feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!”

Bella Hadid opened up about the impact of Lyme disease on her life and career in 2016

Bella Hadid has been open about her ongoing battle with Lyme disease, a chronic illness she was diagnosed with in her teens. Over the years, she has described experiencing debilitating symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, and brain fog, which at times forced her to pause modeling commitments and focus on treatment. Bella often credits her mother, Yolanda, who also has Lyme disease, and her brother, Anwar, who shares the diagnosis, for understanding the challenges and offering constant support.

“I used to be the last to go home at a party, now I’m the first …,” Bella told The Standard in 2016. “You never really see Gisele out or around. She’s kind of untouchable.”

“This was my first full season. I was so exhausted,” she continued. “I only did 13 shows, just request casting. The show girls do, like, 12 shows a day. I only did one or two shows a day, and I was like: ‘I need to go to sleep.’ I thought, ‘OK, maybe I’m just a p****.'”

Bella also noted that if she didn’t get sick, she might’ve pursued riding horses as her career path instead of modeling.

Yolanda Hadid posted about Lyme disease awareness in 2016

Yolanda Hadid hates to see her children in and out of the hospital for Lyme disease. In 2016, she posted a photo of herself and Bella Hadid on Instagram from 2015. Bella has an IV.

“Watching my brave babies suffer in silence in order to support me in my journey has struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me, it is because of them that I continue to fight relentlessly……. I will not allow them to live a life of pain and suffering……. I will prevail and walk to the end of the earth to find a cure for them and millions of others debilitated by this invisible disease!!!!” she posted. “We all deserve to live a healthy life, don’t you think? [sic].”
