Ben Affleck Willing to Pay Millions to Finally Cut Jennifer Lopez Out of His Life for Good, Source Says
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s names were in the headlines almost daily with speculation about their marital issues in 2024. Finally, in August of that year, as rumors that their marriage was ending hit a fever pitch, the “On the Floor” hitmaker officially filed for divorce from her husband of two years.
In February 2025, their divorce was finalized. Their settlement reportedly includes an agreement on the $60.8 million mansion they bought 10 months after they tied the knot. Now, an insider is claiming that massive property is causing an even bigger headache for Affleck.

Insider says Affleck is determined to rid himself of the last thing tying him to Lopez
TMZ noted that JLo and the Argo actor initially put their former abode on the market for $68 million. When there were no takers, Affleck was eager to drop the price, but Lopez was willing to wait longer. Affleck was not though and eventually got his ex-wife to agree they slash the asking price by $8 million.
However, there’s still a buyer in sight, and according to an insider who has the Gone Girl star itching to go even lower if it means finally being free of the single thing still binding him to Lopez.
“Ben and JLo slashed the price on their Beverly Hills mansion for $8 million less than they paid for it, but this is nothing to Ben,” the insider told the Daily Mail. “He really just wants this to be sold so that he can cut the final cord that keeps him and Jennifer intertwined.”

Their Beverly Hills estate is nothing short of amazing.
The three-story, 38,000 square-foot house known as Crestview Manor has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. It also features a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a two-bedroom guardhouse, a caretaker’s house, and a 12-car garage. Some of its other amenities include a large swimming pool, a pickleball court, a basketball court, a home gym, a sports lounge, and a boxing ring.
But the place was always a point of contention between Lopez and Affleck. He reportedly never wanted to spend that much on their home and wasn’t happy that it was inconvenient, given the distance from his three children who live with their mom, Jennifer Garner. And now he really wants to get rid of it as soon as possible, even if that means lowering the price again.
According to the Insider, “[Ben] knows [Lopez] will always have a presence in his life with their kids remaining best friends, but this house is the one last thing that is a symbol of their marriage. Ultimately, he just hopes that they find a buyer soon and does not care that he takes a multi-million cut. His marriage and divorce cost him millions, and what is another couple million? It is a small price to pay for Ben.”
A second source added that “Ben just wants to live his life that, for the most part, has been very fortunate. Ben has had a lot of wins, and with that comes a few losses.”
