Beyoncé and Jay-Z Reportedly Close the Deal on British Farmland for New Estate
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have built a real estate portfolio as impressive as their careers. And they have homes that reflect both their star power and family life. The couple primarily resides in Los Angeles, where they purchased a sprawling Bel-Air estate in 2017 for a reported $88 million, featuring multiple pools, a spa, and panoramic city views. They also maintain a legendary presence on the East Coast, having owned a luxurious Tribeca penthouse in New York. Beyond the U.S., the Carters have reportedly expanded internationally. Here’s what’s reportedly going on with the famous couple and their new British property.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly purchased farmland in Britain
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s property portfolio reads like a tour of luxury living, spanning coasts and continents. In Los Angeles, their $88 million Bel-Air mansion stands as a modern fortress, with eight bedrooms, bulletproof windows, multiple pools, and even a private helipad. Out east, the couple invested in a $26 million Hamptons retreat, a sprawling waterfront estate with cedar accents and sweeping views of Georgica Pond. Jay-Z has long held ties to New York, where his Tribeca penthouse has been one of the couple’s signature city homes, offering both privacy and proximity to the heart of Manhattan.
Most recently, reports have linked the power couple to a massive property purchase in Britain, further cementing their global footprint. According to The Mirror, the couple is sealing the deal on buying 58 acres of property in the Cotswolds so they can build a country retreat on farmland.
“They were in negotiation on the price, and it isn’t on the market anymore, which would suggest it’s a done deal,” a source told the publication.
According to the architectural drawings that the publication had access to, the “spectacular rural estate” would offer “seamless indoor-outdoor living, combining timeless materials with contemporary architecture.”
The land was on the market for £8.5 million, though it’s unclear how much the power couple paid if they were the ones to purchase it.
The couple reportedly toured 58 acres of land in England earlier in 2025
This isn’t the first time that fans have heard about Beyoncé and Jay-Z potentially buying land in England. In June 2025, the couple was allegedly caught viewing land in the Cotswolds region. According to The U.S. Sun, they took a helicopter ride to take an overhead look at the area. Beyoncé was touring in London at the time.
“In the past week, Beyoncé and Jay-Z flew via helicopter between her London gigs to view a 58-acre plot of land,” an insider told The Oxford Mail, according to The U.S. Sun.
“Located close to friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, and with Simon Cowell and the Beckhams as neighbors, she felt it would be an ideal UK home for her family, away from the city when they’re in the country.”
Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently took out a $57 million mortgage on another property
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Bel-Air estate is one of the most iconic celebrity homes in Los Angeles. It stands as a sleek $88 million mansion that redefines modern luxury. The 30,000-square-foot compound has six glass-walled structures designed with sharp, minimalist lines and surrounded by lush greenery for privacy. Inside, the estate features eight bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, bulletproof windows, a 15-car garage, and a wellness center. Outside, there are four swimming pools and expansive terraces that overlook the city.
In July 2025, DailyMail.com reported that the power couple took out an additional $57.75 million loan on the property. In total, they borrowed $110 million. With the new mortgage, the couple will pay $310,000 per month, with an additional $100,343 per month in property taxes.
