Beyoncé launched her hair-care brand Cécred in February 2024, following six years of development and salon testing. The brand is positioned as a luxury, science-backed hair system designed for all hair types. And it places a strong emphasis on scalp health, repair, and moisture retention.
Cécred entered the market with its Foundation Collection. This included an eight-product lineup featuring Clarifying Shampoo and Scalp Scrub, Hydrating Shampoo, Moisturizing Deep Conditioner, Reconstructing Treatment Mask, Fermented Rice and Rose Protein Ritual, Moisture-Sealing Lotion, Nourishing Hair Oil, and Restoring Hair & Edge Drops. The formulas center on a proprietary bioactive keratin ferment technology developed to help strengthen and restore damaged hair.
“We started by prioritizing the needs of textured hair like mine, along with other types and textures that need more moisture and strength,” the Cécred press release revealed, according to Allure. “My entire life and career, I’ve worn my hair in so many different ways: natural, flat-ironed, braids, colored, weaves, wigs. I want everyone to have the freedom to express their hair in ways that make them feel good, so I began by creating the essentials for hair and scalp health.”
Beyoncé’s brand is all about its full system for moisturizing, strengthening, repairing, and treating hair. Additionally, the products’ price ranges reflect this premium yet still accessible vibe. Travel and single-use items are up to $30, while the shampoos and conditioners range from $30 to $40. Treatments and masks go from $40 to $56.
Cardi B started her Grow-Good Beauty hair line in April 2026
Cardi B launched her hair-care brand, Grow-Good Beauty, in April 2026, as her debut into the beauty industry. The brand is heavily inspired by her Dominican and Bronx roots, as well as homemade recipes she previously shared with fans. Grow-Good Beauty is designed as a science-meets-cultural hair-care system that Cardi developed over several years in collaboration with cosmetic labs. It features Fiberlace, which the press release describes as “a proprietary, plant-derived hair restoration complex developed to reinforce the hair fibers,” according to People.
“When I was younger, I really used to hate my hair,” Cardi B shared to Beauty Inc., according to Black Enterprise. “Now that I’m older, I grew to love it and appreciate it. I wanted to create something that helps people feel confident about their texture.”
Cardi’s hair-care “Core Collection” is a four-step system that includes two shampoos — Wash Cycle and Wash Cycle+ — formulated to cleanse the scalp while reinforcing the hair fiber. It also includes two conditioners — Soft Serve and Soft Serve+ — designed for hydration and detangling. The collection is completed by the Get Rich Mask, a deep-conditioning treatment inspired by Cardi’s viral homemade hair masks. The Everything Serum serves as a heat protectant and anti-frizz shield.
The Wash Cycle and Wash Cycle+ shampoos are just $14.99 each, as are the conditioners. The Get Rich Mask is $19.99. And the Everything Serum is $17.99.
Which hair-care system is best?
All in all, the hair-care system that is best depends on the needs of the consumer. Beyoncé’s line heavily focuses on fermentation science, while Cardi B’s line is inspired by natural ingredients.
