Beyoncé’s Gift to Miley Cyrus: The Item She ‘Never Takes Off’
Miley Cyrus’ longstanding admiration for Beyoncé runs deep, transforming into a genuine friendship over time. Cyrus recalls performing alongside Beyoncé as a teenager at a benefit, when she felt protected by the star whose career she long admired. Their connection grew beyond the stage. Their professional collaboration on the country-inflected duet “II Most Wanted” beautifully encapsulates this relationship. Recently, Cyrus noted the gift Beyoncé once gave her that she still “never takes off.” Here’s what it is.
Miley Cyrus said Beyoncé gifted her a bracelet that she never removes
Miley Cyrus’s wholehearted admiration for Beyoncé has gradually matured into a deeper partnership that finds its most tangible expression in their 2024 duet “II Most Wanted” on Beyoncé’s album, Cowboy Carter. Their first on-stage moment together traces back to the 2008 charity special, when Cyrus was still a teenager and Beyoncé already a global icon. Years later, Cyrus got the opportunity to contribute her writing and voice to a joint song with Beyoncé.
In the November 2025 issue of Vogue France, Cyrus opened up about her relationship with Beyoncé today. The interviewer asked Cyrus about her duet on stage at the Stade de France alongside the Cowboy Carter singer. The “Party in the USA” singer called Beyoncé “the best, period.”
“It was amazing,” Cyrus noted. “Beyoncé is definitely the best, period. She gave me a bracelet that I never take off…. And trust me, I know how to use it when I need to. If someone tells me I was wrong or did this or that wrong, I say, ‘Well, you know what, it doesn’t matter. Beyoncé gave me this bracelet, look!'”
Miley Cyrus says texting with the ‘Cowboy Carter’ singer is a ‘normal part’ of her day
In June 2024, Miley Cyrus spoke to W Magazine about how texting Beyoncé had become a “normal” aspect of her everyday life. Additionally, she and Beyoncé value privacy and “safety,” strengthening their bond.
“Sometimes I forget to talk about things that are a normal part of my day-to-day, like texting with Beyoncé,” Cyrus admitted. “I think it’s a really cute part of our relationship, because over the past couple of years, I’ve really locked down on my privacy and on what I share with the public. She’s the same way. Part of our relationship is the safety between us. The songwriting or the work is just a small part of my relationship with her — or with Dolly, or with anyone. Our personas have a relationship, but then we have a relationship. And I love that.”
Cyrus also reflected on working with Beyoncé on the Cowboy Carter album. She knew “II Most Wanted,” a song she wrote that landed on the album, perfectly “encompassed” their relationship.
“Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true,” Cyrus noted.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer said she and Beyoncé are ‘very different’
Miley Cyrus thinks of Beyoncé as a “queen” in her own right. The singer/songwriter spoke to Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe in 2025 about her changing relationship with the public and how she views the R&B singer as a “goddess.”
“Beyoncé and I are very different,” she said, according to E! News. “In her fandom, it’s Queen Bey. She feels in this way of like a mother to the world.”
“She’s kind of this queen,” Cyrus continued. “I’ve always felt a very motherly kind of feeling from her.”
