Alan Ritchson was looking a little worse for wear in Philadelphia on Monday. Cameras caught the actor sprinting down a city street with blood on his face. But don’t worry. He was simply filming scenes for the next season of Prime Video’s Reacher.

In some photos, Ritchson’s Jack Reacher character is running alongside co-star Sydelle Noel. She was recently cast as Tamara Green, a detective with the Philadelphia police department, per Deadline.

Reacher Season 4 will be based on Lee Child’s book Gone Tomorrow. In the novel, Reacher has a chance encounter with a stranger on a train, which draws him into a complicated and dangerous game that pits him against ruthless and powerful foes.

Also on Monday, Ritchson and the Reacher crew were spotted in Philly’s Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. Ritchson and his co-star Agnez Mo, who plays Lila Hoth, filmed a scene in the Parc restaurant before moving outside, where a chase involving a police car took place, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

‘Reacher’ star meets Joe Biden on set

While working, an unexpected visitor arrived on set. Former president Joe Biden happened to dine at Parc on the morning of June 17, along with his wife, Jill Biden, and his son, Hunter Biden. Ritchson got a chance to meet the ex-commander-in-chief and his family, much to his delight.

“So our Reacher set got in the way of these legends,” Ritchson wrote on Instagram, alongside a video and photos of himself with the Bidens.

“Was a privilege and honor to meet the Biden family,” he added. “They couldn’t have been more lovely. Kind, joyful, gracious and present. We chatted briefly about simple stuff, like string theory and quantum entanglement. Then Joe beat me at arm wrestling. All in a day’s work.”

Reacher Seasons 1-3 are streaming on Prime Video.
