‘Bob’s Burgers’ Voice Actor Eugene Mirman Seriously Injured in Fiery Car Crash
Actor and comedian Eugene Mirman has been identified as the victim of a fiery single-car crash in New Hampshire.
The Bob’s Burgers voice actor “suffered serious injuries” when his vehicle crashed into a toll plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike shortly before noon on March 31, according to a press release from the New Hampshire State Police. (TMZ was the first to report on the victim’s connection to Bob’s Burgers.)
After the crash, Mirman’s 2026 Lucid Gravity caught fire. A state trooper happened to pass by the scene and sprang into action.
“While units were responding, a veteran State Trooper assigned to Governor Kelly Ayotte’s security detail came upon the crash, saw that the vehicle was actively on fire, and observed the driver was still inside,” noted the press release. “The driver was then pulled from the burning car through a window and brought to safety. Governor Ayotte, along with other witnesses at the scene, provided assistance to the Trooper.” (The name of the trooper hasn’t been released because of the nature of their position.)
“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” said Colonel Mark B. Hall. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”
Mirman, 51, who was the only person in the car, was taken to a local hospital with “serious injuries.” No additional information about his condition has been made available.
Mirman has voiced the Gene Belcher character on Fox’s animated series Bob’s Burgers since 2011. He’s also appeared in TV shows like Flight of the Conchords, Broad City, Archer, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force as well as The Bob’s Burgers Movie and Confess, Fletch.
